Visit Observation Station #42 to perform today’s check on Dark Core.

Observation Station #42: Day Two

self

Let’s see if anything happens today…

Objectives: A perfect situation for a little observation!

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Use the binoculars to do today’s observation.

Looks like not much happening, but wait… What’s that on the upper deck, by the portal?

self

Mysterious activity at Dark Core’s HQ. Possibly magical activity at that…

Quest completed

______________

To the Control Center! Fast!

self

I need to tell Linda. Fast! To the library!

Yee-ha!

Objectives: Go to Linda at the winery’s library and tell her what you’ve seen.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

This is a big development, gotta notify the other Soul Riders!

linda

Hello Rita. Any news?

Quest completed

______________

Inspect HQ

linda

Interesting. Something might be going on there that has some meaning. It could just as well be something completely pointless, but perhaps you’ll find something of interest there anyway. Hmm…

Thinking about it, we haven’t been there for quite some time and you seem to know the place pretty well by now…

Head over to Dark Core’s headquarters and look into what’s going on. Go to Cape West Fishing Village and take the little boat with the helmsman who’ll take you to Dark Core’s mysterious headquarters.

Good luck Rita. Be careful.

In Dark Core’s shadows, no one can hear you scream.

Objectives: Take the boat in Cape West Fishing Village and sail to Dark Core’s secret headquarters.

Rewards: 25 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Gee, thanks Linda. That’s quite a pleasant thought to leave off on.

Take the boat to Dark Core’s headquarters and step up onto the landing platform.

self

Here again. I need to be extra careful to get around here unnoticed…

Quest completed

______________

Sneaking on Tiptoes

self

It looks like there’s yet more activity on the helipad up there. Up where that weird portal is…

I can’t sneak up there with my horse without getting caught, so I suppose I’ll have to get off my horse here.

Objectives: Find out what is happening up on the helipad.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Remember: To be able to hide yourself behind a box to avoid being caught, you need to use the button in the bottom right corner of your screen (where the dismount button usually is) which will only show as active when you can hide yourself. Don’t forget it can be easier to control your character if you hold down your right mouse button as you walk.

Follow the same route you did when you first visited. The guards still walk the same routine as previously.

Make your way up the helipad and find a place you can discretely watch the unfolding scene.

self

Seems something’s going on here…

Quest completed

______________

Darko

self

I need to hide and listen to this… Carefully does it…

Objectives: What could be happening?

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 35 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

This guy Darko looks important. He looks about to say something important to those Dark Core members gathered.

darko

…But I’ve also got some good news. Listen, my honorable Generals.

The swirls of darkness are strong, and now they twist in our favor.

The druids and that idiot Fripp are thought to be especially passive, and Pandoria’s powers are pulsing like never before. These powers united are our driving force, our lifeblood.

Experience tells us that it is time to act. Now.

We must, however, be on our guard. We must always be on guard!

There is another person on Jorvik whose presence is far from desirable for us…

I feel her presence.

Hmm… Her presence is much stronger than I could ever have suspected…

…Almost as though she was… Almost…

But of course she can’t be here!

Hahaha!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

dark_rider

Hahaha!

Of course not, Associate Darko. Haha! How would she ever know? Hahaha.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

darko

Well in any case, you all know who I mean.

It’s time to dispose of her, if you see her again. She represents a threat to us, our cause, and to Garnok!

I’m here now to use this visit to tell you that it begins here. Our time has come. It’s our day. The day of the Generals!

But you’re missing your fourth associate…

However much our honorable Mr Sands wants his innocent little grandson to take on the role of potential substitute for our most distinguished Elise, both you and I know that Justin has no magical talent whatsoever.

That boy will never even learn to vanish a coin.

We’re moving close to Elise’s release, our most celebrated Nihili, the fourth General. Don’t do a thing until she’s here.

You need her. You need each other. Garnok needs you all!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

dark_rider

Yes! Yes, Nihili! Yes!

At last!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

darko

I know that she’s capable of causing a certain… Insecurity within the group. Discord. But you all know that she is the way she is.

Never forget that you’re a unit, and must act as such!

The Dark Horse I’ve taken with me is in fact owned by Elise. We lost Pi, so I had to create a Dark Horse myself.

Take care of it until she’s here.

When Elise is reunited with you all, the four Generals will gather for the first time and then it’s time for you to ride out and perform the Dark Ceremony at the currently secret location.

That was all for now.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

dark_rider

No, Associate Darko. We very much look forward to the four Generals being reunited.

We’ll take care of Elise’s Dark Horse, and rehearse the Dark Ceremony as we wait to make our next move.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

darko

Good.

May the tentacles of Garnok guide you, and may the darkness flow from your footsteps.

I’ll return soon. With Elise.

This is not good. Not good at all…

self

Ugh, what a scary creep. He seems really evil and has some truly terrible plans. I’m getting really bad vibes from this…

Quest completed

______________

To the Control Center!

self

I need to leave Dark Core before they find out I’m here. I need to tell Linda all of this as quickly as possible.

Objectives: Report to Linda.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Leave the helipad by running on the pipes back down to the lower level. Retrieve your horse and return back to Cape West, so you may continue on to the winery to report to Linda.

linda

Hey Rita! I’ve been reading a whole TON of exciting stuff in these books, and…

Oh?

You look pretty troubled…?

Quest completed

______________

Compilation for Linda

linda

Darko is a huge threat to us. He seems to be Mr Sands’ right-hand man in some way.

He’s a lecturer, like a typical teacher… He seems to be able to create dark horses as well, which he taught Pi how to do… This is bad. Very bad. If the fourth general gets back with the rest of them, I think our chances of keeping them in checkmate reduce hugely…

This is important news, it’s amazing that you took the risk of spying on them.

I’m especially worried for Justin. What are they gonna do with him if they see him as useless to their cause? Sure they wont just let him wander away on his own little path even if he is Mr Sands’ grandson…

Hmm… What’s our next move?

Objectives: Listen to Linda.

Rewards: 45 Jorvik Shillings, 65 XP

Reputation: 25 with Keepers of Aideen

That’s a good question, my friend.

linda

I’m going to call a meeting of the wider advisory council of the druids. We can’t have a meeting with them right away now since they’re all spread out across the island to watch and spy…

We’ll just have to wait until we can get them all back in one place.

Patience, Rita… Patience.

Quest completed

Now let’s go see Alex about that weird runestone. Meet her on Paddock Island by where you found Sonja yesterday.

Waiting by a Stone

runestone

Alex should be here by now…

Objectives: Wait by the runestone until Alex comes.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Watch as Alex and Tin Can approach. Now we can begin!

alex

Hello hello! Sorry I’m a bit late.

Have you got your own rune wand now?

Quest completed

______________

Measuring Pandoric Activity

alex

Congrats on your rune wand!

By getting daily readings of the Pandoric activity from the active runestones, the Keepers of Aideen can tell how strong the flow is between our two worlds and then make sure what preparations and countermeasures they need to make.

At the same time as you’re doing all this measuring, you’ll be getting closer and closer to the Inner Lightning Circle, and I’ll tell you more about that later.

But right now I’m gonna tell you how to measure Pandoric activity. You ready?

Objectives: Listen to Alex.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Alex will now tell you how to begin the crucial step of measurements.

alex

Examine the first stone and work out if it’s possible to scan or not. Right now, there are quite a few runestones that seem ready for scanning since you can see they’re highly active…

If it can be scanned, dismount your horse and use the rune wand on the runestone while performing an analysis incantation. Then you’ll find yourself inside a magical time bubble where you can measure the runestone’s activity. The time bubble only lasts for a limited time.

The runestone will show you which runes you need to capture from the magical ether surrounding us. After showing the runes on the stone and playing the rune’s magic tones, it’ll become clear which runes you need to collect.

If you choose incorrectly, you’ll lose a lot of energy. You can always listen to the runes in the magical either, but as soon as you choose a rune it has to be the right one, and they need to be chosen in the correct order.

If you take the right rune in the right order, you’ll win some magical energy and get a little extra time as a result.

When you’ve chosen all the runes, the measurement is complete!

As clear as a thunderbolt from a clear blue sky? Clear as mud?

You’ll definitely get it once you’ve done the first measurement.

You’re going to do that first measurement right now.

Quest completed

______________

First Test

alex

Ready to give your first measurement a try? Great. Test this runestone here, then talk to me when you’re done.

Have a go at taking a reading from this runestone. Use your rune wand on it and do as I told you. It’s not really as hard as I make it sound. Read the runes and capture the ones that match in the magical ether.

In order.

Once you’re done, you’ll have completed a magical reading of Pandoric activity.

Objectives: Perform the measurements. Use your rune wand on an active runestone.

Rewards: 25 Jorvik Shillings, 35 XP

Reputation: 50 with The Keepers of Aideen: The Lightning’s Inner Circle

Dismount your horse and approach the runestone, then use your rune wand on it. You will then see a screen similar to when you closed the Pandoric rifts.

This screen has the current runestone in the center with the needed runes on it (each one will have different runes you will need). There are five runes you will need to select out of about two dozen that are slowly circling around the runestone. Click each one in the correct order before time runs out to be able to complete your measurement.

alex

Good, Rita! Good! Not that hard after all, huh? You’ll get used to it, trust me.

Quest completed

______________

The Lightning’s Inner Circle

alex

You’ve become aware of the Lightning’s Inner Circle. This means you’re taking another step deeper into even more advanced magical secrets…

Are you ready to hear more about The Lightning’s Inner Circle?

Objectives: Listen to Alex.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 80 with The Keepers of Aideen: The Lightning’s Inner Circle

Deeper and deeper we go into discovering our magical talent!

alex

Your journey through the Lightning’s Inner Circle can go so far as to result in your ability to perform incredibly powerful magic spells. The journey is long, and the runic measurements are just the beginning of something much bigger to come. Be patient: a beginning is meant to be exactly that… The start of a road where we find ourselves standing now.

Elizabeth and I have great hopes that you’ll soon be able to learn useful enchantments and spells from within the Lightning’s Inner Circle.

Don’t forget that the journey is long, and this contact you have now with the runestones is only just scraping the surface of the secrets to come. It’s a rare candidate indeed who manages to get very far within these inner circles…

I believe in you, though. We believe in you. You’re unique, with exceptionally rare talents that we in the Keepers of Aideen have never seen before.

Continue to measure the Pandoric activity on the active runestones around our lands. They’re everywhere, but not all of them are active every day, so it’s a very well-trained eye indeed that is able to find the active stones at all times. I’ll also be out in the field to measure them on occasion, but I truly do need your help.

Good luck!

Quest completed

Return to Alex when you are Friendly with The Lightning’s Inner Circle.

You can now measure the runestones as a daily quest. All of the runestones are active everyday and can be measured once daily.

Approach the stone to start the quest, then use your rune wand. Collect the runes as you did with the first stone, then click the stone again to complete the quest.

Runestones are scattered all over Jorvik and can be found according to the map linked below.

When you reach a new reputation level, you can find Alex at the winery.

Friendly with The Lightning’s Inner Circle

alex

You’ve made it a little further along the road on your journey into The Lightning’s Inner Circle. This is just a first small step. Are you prepared to go further?

Objectives: Listen to Alex.

Reputation: 35 Jorvik Shillings, 35 XP

Reputation: 10 with The Keepers of Aideen: The Lightning’s Inner Circle

Of course, of course!

alex

Good. Continue with the measurements a little longer. Your help is incredibly meaningful. Your increasing depth of involvement with The Lightning’s Inner Circle is crucial to your future. Believe me.

Quest completed

Return to Alex when you are Liked by The Lightning’s Inner Circle.

Liked by The Lightning’s Inner Circle

alex

Thanks so much for your impressive effort Rita. Now you’ve taken readings from enough runestones for now. Your excellent work has given us a result.

We have a solid picture of the stream between Pandoria and here and it’s enormous. Borderline catastrophic I would say…

The good news is that you’re on the verge of learning some incredible spells…

Objectives: Listen to Alex.

Rewards: 35 Jorvik Shillings, 35 XP

Reputation: 10 with The Keepers of Aideen: The Lightning’s Inner Circle

Glad I could help!

alex

Soon you’ll be invited to take part in a special training program with The Lightning’s Inner Circle and that’s where you’ll be learning all kinds of unimaginable things.

Until then, hang on and watch, wait and observe.

Quest completed

Your runestone readings are now completed.

If you measure every runestone you can in a single day, it will only take about two days to reach this point.

Now all you have to do is wait for future game updates.

The runestone map can be found HERE!

Be Vigilant: Watch and Wait

alex

Nothing beats a little rest…

I’ve spoken to the druids and they have a new set of directives for us.

Ready to get stuck in again?

Hope you’re as excited as I am…

Objectives: Listen to Alex.

Rewards: 5 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Alex will explain her plan to continue to watch Dark Core.

alex

Right then, my friends.

What we need to do is be vigilant: watch and wait.

Of course we’re missing our friend Anne, but Fripp and the druids are currently working out a safe way of traveling to Pandoria to look for her.

Until then, there’s nothing we can do for her.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

lisa

It feels terrible to just sit and wait. It’s unbearable to know that our friend is there and we’re here doing nothing.

I know how horrendous it is there.

Believe me when I say that every second you’re there feels like a nightmare a hundred times worse than death.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

linda

I know, Lisa. I know.

But it’s just like Alex and the druids say. We can’t do anything now.

We wait and see if the druids come up with a safe way…

They must be able to!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

lisa

But if it takes too long…?

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

linda

…Then we take matters into our own hands.

Count on it.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

Agreed. Anyway, now it’s time to plan and prepare while the enemy forges their dark plans.

When they strike, we need to be prepared. Strike faster, strike harder.

We want to know if Dark Core and the Dark Riders are up to something awfully suspect.

The very worst thing that could happen would be if they started the Dark Ceremony to open the cracks between Pandoria’s unreality and our reality.

That would mean that the flow between the two worlds would run completely out of control and both worlds would collapse.

Or worse…

We’ve got no idea when or where they’re going to strike. We’re not ever sure exactly how either, but Fripp and the druids are trying to work it all out.

If we get more information from the druids, we might have some new tasks to complete, but until then, we need to stay vigilant, keep watching and waiting.

Raise the alarm and take action if something unexpected occurs.

I did a little surveillance last night and found a number of suitable locations for observation.

I’ve informed the Spymaster of the newly developing situation. He and his agents, the chipmunks, and whatever else he’s got working for him are all on high alert and will let us know if they notice anything of interest.

Linda, I thought you could perhaps be our liaison and base yourself out of the library where you provide the druids with your analysis of the scriptures.

We’ll report to you Linda, and the best place for you right now is studying those texts and helping the druids to interpret them.

Okay?

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

linda

Yes, Alex.

I’ll keep my head in the books and be ready to receive your reports as well as keeping an eye on your observation schedules. You’ll always know where I am.

See you in the Winery’s library whenever you need me.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

lisa

Me, Rita, and you Alex… We’re out in the field, right?

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

Correct, Lisa.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

lisa

Brilliant.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

Good. Then it looks like we’re ready to get started.

I’ve got the map right here with all the observation spots marked out. I think Observation Station #42 will be perfect for you Rita.

It’s a great lookout spot towards the sea, and you can get a closer look at Dark Core HQ.

You’ll definitely see if someone’s on their way towards us from Dark Core…

Quest completed

______________

Binoculars Fit for Purpose

alex

Aha. You don’t have any binoculars?

You’ll definitely need a pair if you’re going to be able to keep watch properly. You can borrow mine if you like? I’ve got plenty in stocky, haha.

Objectives: Do you need some binoculars?

Rewards: 5 Jorvik Shillings, 10 XP, Alex’s Binoculars

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Tell Alex, you are in fact, needing binoculars.

alex

Here, you can borrow these for as long as you need them.

You can use them more than once.

Quest completed

______________

Observation Station #42

alex

You can see on the map where you should be going. It’s a nice place at the southwestern corner of Paddock Island. You know, south of Jarlaheim in the Harvest Counties.

Objectives: Ride out to Observation Station #42 and take a look through the binoculars.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

The observation spot is located near a bush behind the upper paddock on Paddock Island, facing towards the ocean.

Use the binoculars and take a peek at what’s going on at Dark Core.

self

Uneventful day… I’ll come back tomorrow.

But, wait…

Who’s howling like that?!

Sounds like somebody’s screaming for help…?

Quest completed

Return to Observation Station tomorrow.

In the meantime, let’s go down the hill and see who needs help.

Help! Help! Help!

sonja

Help! Oh gosh, there you are Rita! My friend!

It’s me, Sonja!

Objectives: Ask Sonja what happened.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

What are you doing down here crying, silly girl?

sonja

How lovely to see you!

Sniffle…

You’ve got no idea…

Ow, ow, ow! I’ve got such a headache! Well, it aches all over actually! Sniffle.

Let me tell you about it.

Quest completed

______________

Sonja’s Unhappy Hardship

sonja

Sniffle…

My head hurts so much… Sniffle…

I was out on a long ride with my horse around all the beautiful countryside and galloped past one of the runestones… You know, the ones that are all over the place around here.

You know the ones…

This particular runestone just suddenly making weird noises and lighting up pink… My poor horse went crazy and just ran away! I wasn’t ready for it and ended up landing on my head.

Sniffle…

Objectives: Talk to Sonja.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

That’s what you get for not wearing a helmeeeeeet!

sonja

Where my horse and my helmet are? Where my horse is right now, I’ve got no idea. I guess I was just too lazy to put my helmet on before I came out. I learned my lesson now though… I’ll never ride without a helmet again.

Sniffle…

Now I’m feeling really dizzy and everything hurts!

Typical.

Quest completed

______________

The Call of the Runestone

sonja

Which runestone was the one that scared us? Sniffle…

That one. That one over there. By the seashore. The one that looks exactly like the other stupid runestones.

Take a look at it, why don’t you? Be sure to come back and help me afterwards though, if that’s okay?

Objectives: Examine the runestone then return to Sonja.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

The runestone is glowing with energy and runes circling in the air around it. What could this mean…?

sonja

I agree with you, that runestone is definitely… Strange.

And it’s ugly. Stupid ugly runestone.

Quest completed

______________

Ambulance!

sonja

Please could you do me a huge favor and take me to the clinic in Jarlaheim? I don’t think I could get there on my own. Sniffle.

I don’t think I’m very seriously injured but you never know, better to get the vet to take a look at me and see if I should head to the hospital.

Could you take me on the back of your horse to the veterinarian in Jarlaheim?

Sniffle…

Objectives: Take Sonja to the vet in Jarlaheim for a check-up.

Rewards: 35 Jorvik Shillings, 30 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Ugh, it hurts me just watching you ride, you pitiful girl, what is that?!

dino_valley_vet

Hello there! What’s happened here?

Oh…

No helmet?

Hmph. You see, kids these days!

Now then Sonja, you might have been lucky and only scored yourself a mild concussion, but let’s have a look at you…

Quest completed

______________

Tell Linda About the Runestone

sonja

Thanks for taking me to the vet, Rita. You’re a true friend. That whole runestone thing was really bizarre. What did you say you were doing now? You’re going to meet Linda and tell her your findings? Say hey to her from me! Thanks so much again for your help.

Objectives: Report to Linda in the library at the Winery.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Return to the library and tell Linda everything that’s happened.

linda

Hey Rita! How’s it going? I’m just sitting here studying a bunch of ancient texts…

Mm-hmm…?

Quest completed

______________

Locate Alex

linda

Yup, I get you.

I reckon that’s something you should talk to Alex about. She usually tells us about how she goes out and “talks to the runestones” sometimes… Some kind of errand for the druids, apparently. Some kind of measurement she takes. She’ll probably know more about why the runestones have been behaving strangely.

I’m not sure what it could all mean. You should tell Alex all about it.

I’ve no idea where Alex is right now though. She’s not out in the field on errands. Not according to my notes, anyway.

Check the stables? Talk to a few of the people out there in the yard maybe? Perhaps someone’s seen her…

Objectives: Check with the people around the Winery and see were Alex is.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

The person you need is Tyra. You can talk to others and they will tell you either they haven’t seen Alex, or to ask if Tyra has seen her. You can skip talking to others and go directly to Tyra.

tyra

Hi Rita!

Are you looking for Alex?

Yeah, she said something earlier before she and Tin-Can galloped away east over…

Hm.

What was it?

Let me think…

Quest completed

______________

Brother James

tyra

Yes, now I remember!

Alex said something or other about family issues before she left. That nuisance James is her little brother, right?

Must be some scrape he’s gotten into that she’ll have to fix up as usual! Typical James. If I were you, I’d go to Fort Pinta and talk to him.

Objectives: Talk to James in Fort Pinta.

Rewards: 20 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Ride or transport to Fort Pinta and seek James for information about Alex.

james

Ah.

Yeah, of course…

…

Alex. Yep.

Quest completed

______________

Alex At the Mall

james

Alex is going to meet our mother at the mall in Jorvik City. She took the bus out there a little while ago. You’ll be sure to find her there in the cafe, I’m sure.

It’s not so often we get to see mama these days, just so you know. She’s just difficult. Always wants to borrow money from me, and that’s just not happening.

Objectives: Take the bus to Jorvik City Plaza and look for Alex there.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Make sure you have your bus ticket with you. Once at the mall, you can find Alex at a table with her mother in the back of the cafe.

alex

Rita! Welcome!

Mama, this is Rita.

Rita, this is my lovely old mother.

Quest completed

______________

Mother & Daughter

alex

Wait a second, Rita.

Me and my mother are just gonna finish up here. We’re almost done, I’ll be right there.

Objectives: Wait until Alex and her mother are done talking.

Rewards: 30 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

What do you mean, wait? Don’t you mean eavesdrop… Since you pretty much stand there staring while they converse.

alex

Where were we…

Yes, mama! I’ve told you, you can stop thinking like that!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mrs_cloudmill

There’s nobody who cares about me anymore…

I’m not only abandoned, I’m a bad mother as well.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

Mama!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mrs_cloudmill

I’ve been abandoned by everyone…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

No, you know that’s not true. We love you mama!

All of your children love you. Stop saying those things, we all know they’re not true.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mrs_cloudmill

No, no, no…

I’m such a terrible mother… I’ve failed you all.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

Now you really can stop this. You’re our beloved mother and you haven’t had it easy, we all know that. That dad more or less disappeared isn’t your fault, and it’s not our fault either. It was his choice.

You had to take care of us single handedly, which was no small feat, we all know that now.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mrs_cloudmill

No, it was no small feat, and I didn’t succeed. Y’know…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

No! You can’t say that! It’s not easy to take care of five kids on your own…

Look at us now! If I must say so myself, you did a great job! It’s all thanks to you that we’re here! We love life and we love you. Without you, we’d never be what we are now, and we owe you everything.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mrs_cloudmill

You really mean that?

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

Of course! You’re our beloved mama, and you mean the world to us so stop blaming yourself for things you had no control over that never really had such a bad effect on us anyway. You made our upbringing something special. Without you, the Cloudmill family would just be dust in a storm. We have a lot to thank you for.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mrs_cloudmill

But I didn’t have any money. I didn’t have time to give you all the attention you needed…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

Listen mama, I’ve told you that you shouldn’t blame yourself… You’re the only person who thinks you’ve done something awful. Don’t take our happy childhood memories away from us now by saying such terrible things.

It’s only you who suffers from carrying all this terrible weight, and none of it is even true, so it’s wrong!

So stop this. Now. Just take a look at all the good things instead.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mrs_cloudmill

If you say so.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

Come on, shake it off! Just show me a smile and I’ll come and celebrate Christmas with you.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mrs_cloudmill

…

Smile!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

There you go! I knew it! There was a little smile right there! Christmas is saved!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mrs_cloudmill

Alex…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

Yes, mother?

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mrs_cloudmill

I love you too. Thank you for being here, you’re certainly the wisest of us Cloudmills. Thanks for taking time to cheer up your hopeless old mother…

Everything feels much better now.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

Thanks…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mrs_cloudmill

Look Alex, I think you have a visitor. Looks like that lovely horse girl over there wants something…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

Thanks for waiting a while… Mothers, huh?! They can be so down on themselves. They never seem to understand that you just love your parents whatever they do. They only ever want the best for us, we know that. Even if it’s not always right every time.

Ah well, I guess you didn’t come here to talk about mothers and families, right?

Runestone News

alex

Oooh, the runestones, yeah. I usually measure their activity, but I’ve not had time recently.

I suppose it’s time I got out and took a look at them though…

I check the runestones so that I can calculate how active Pandoria is and whether there’s a strong flow between our reality and Pandoria’s unreality. This is crucial information for Fripp and the Keepers of Aideen.

Hmm… You’re pretty advanced and you’ve come a long way with the Lightning Circle. Maybe you could help me take the readings from the runestones? Talk to Elizabeth about it, just to make sure she’s okay with it. You’ll really be needing your own rune wand by now as well. Get permission from Elizabeth and fix up a rune wand and I’ll meet you tomorrow by that runestone there.

Objectives: Talk to Elizabeth in Valedale.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Leave the mall and find your way to Valedale to speak to Elizabeth outside her house.

elizabeth_sunbeam

I see that you’re traveling in the light of Aideen, Rita. Welcome back to my humble little village. What’s on your mind this time, my friend?

______________

Permission and a Wand

elizabeth_sunbeam

I can assure you that you have full permission from the Keepers of Aideen to support Alex and the others in their collection of runestone readings.

Come to think of it, we should have done this before now!

Rune wands are incredibly rare artifacts. You’ve been able to loan mine before now, but I can’t give it away. It’s time for you to have your own, but I think this is the kind of thing only Fripp can help you with. I know he’s incredibly busy right now with working out what we’re going to do next, as well as working out a safe way in and out of Pandoria.

He’ll have to find a little time to help you though.

Objectives: Ride to Fripp in the secret stone ring by riding in a spiral by the runestones above Elizabeth’s house.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 30 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Meet Fripp in the Secret Stonering.

fripp

Greetings Rita! Time is against us. The time before us was long and the time we have left is minimal. Don’t despair though! It’s right now in the moment that everything happens! You’re here now, are you not?

Quest completed

______________

A Trip to Fripp

fripp

And who really are you? Really? Who are you?

And what IS reality? Here and now? What is it?

My winding and weaving star alignments are spinning and splicing a pattern that I soon will be unable to deny… Do you know who you are…? No. Who could even answer such a question anyway…?

Fripp must weave and knit and stitch more patterns together… Sew and braid and think and fold and count and think and think and Fripp, Fripp, Fripp!

Rune wand, you say?

Objectives: Convince Fripp you need a rune wand. Now.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Don’t go getting all deeply philosophical and weird on me now, my little fuzzy friend…

fripp

Okay. If you say so. I suppose it’ll be quicker for me to just give you a wand rather than spend time telling you all the reasons why you shouldn’t have one.

I’ve seen in my timelines that you’ll have one later anyway. Later, in that which we most often call the future.

Quest completed

______________

A Rune Wand of Your Very Own

fripp

I’m going to open a very tiny fracture right now between Pandoria’s unreality and our reality. That’s where your rune wand should materialize. When you see it, hurry and grab it before the fracture needs to be closed again. Ready?

Objectives: Keep an eye on what’s happening. Be prepared to take the rune wand.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 35 XP, Rune Wand

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Watch as a rift is opened and a rune wand rises out of it. Ride forward and click to take the wand. Once you have it, speak to Fripp and he will close the rift.

fripp

So there we are, Rita. Your very own rune wand. Take care of it now.

Off you go to the runestone where you’re supposed to meet Alex and learn about how to measure Pandoric activity.

Or was it tomorrow you were supposed to meet her?

Tomorrow… Yesterday, it’s all the same.

The lines cross all the time, lines, liney-winey, linery binary binary… Time is always wobbling and bending…

Quest completed

You can now leave the Secret Stonering and return to your business for the day.

Meet Alex by the glowing runestone on Paddock Island tomorrow.

The Sleeping Widow

linda

Yawn… I’ve been looking all night and I think I’ve found an old note from the mid-18th century.

Listen to this:

Objectives: Listen to what Linda has to say about the Sleeping Widow.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 35 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

And so Linda recounts her findings.

linda

The legend of the Sleeping Widow goes back far in time. When the light of Aideen spread over Jorvik and life was brought to the island, a handful of Life Wardens were created, whose task it was to guard the growing life, to shield it, and to give warning if the flora and fauna of the island were ever threatened.

quest-primeval_tree

These Life Wardens were brought into existence in the form of trees, who would forever live on Jorvik. The humans discovered these trees, respected them, and let them live. The humans understood the trees were special, ancient, and that they served a higher purpose. The humans came to call them Primeval Trees.

The Primeval Trees had different looks and abilities and were much stronger and more magnificent in the olden days; their glory days. Today most of the trees slumber. They sleep. Tired and haggard. Lessened in power not least by the exploitation of Jorvik’s natural resources.

It is said that the roots of the Primeval Trees penetrate all of Jorvik, and that the roots are linked together in an enormous network through which they can communicate.

Awesome, huh? Like an ancient internet! Kinda…

linda

You want to hear a little more, right?

It’s a fantastic story which I just have to share with you, and it’s important that you understand.

quest-scarecrow_hill_tree

You and I know of one of these Primeval Trees: the one on top of Scarecrow Hill. As the legend of the Golden Apple foretold, the witches have actually destroyed several Primeval Trees, but they only went for the trees that produce the golden apples, which the wicked witches shun. Other Primeval Trees were left alone.

According to my writings, some kindhearted witches have actually made alliances with the Primeval Trees to help strengthen their magical powers.

At least half a dozen Primeval Trees are known to exist today, mentioned in various records. There could be a lot more. In one place, one of the trees goes by the name of the Sleeping Widow.

To understand this, we need to go far back in history, but I’ll be brief.

quest-forgotten_fields_trees

Once upon a time, the Forgotten Fields was a dense, enormous forest. At least as magnificent as Greendale. The forest was protected by two Primeval Trees, which constituted a happy couple. Everything was great, they were happy together and to the forest flourished – until the earl built Jarlaheim.

When Jarlaheim was built, a great part of the forest was cut down, and the growing population in the area took down more of the forest to make both firewood and more building materials. A stable was also needed for the earl’s cavalry. Jorvik Stables was built, which later housed hundreds of horses.

As more and more of the forest was destroyed, the landscape opened up and made room for necessary grazing grounds where all the earl’s horses could graze and run around during the day.

quest-primeval_stump

In the blind eagerness of mankind, which often arises in their simple minds during times of great expanse, the foresters unfortunately cut down one of the two Primeval Trees in the area. It was a grievous mistake but the damage was already done, and it was irreversible. The surviving Primeval Tree became lonely, and it grieved over the loss of its life companion.

She lost her will to live. Through her grief, and through mankind’s eager destruction and the grazing and stomping of the earl’s horses, the forest eventually died.

During the centuries that have passed since the Primeval Tree became lonely, her wailing has sometimes been heard on the wind. A wail much like a persistent howl, which chases around with the gusts across the windswept hills.

And so there stood one lonely Primeval Tree, and the Forgotten Fields.

The area got its current name – the Forgotten Fields – after the earl’s cavalry and all the horses were no longer needed in Jorvik Stables.

The lost forest and the grazing grounds were later forgotten, since the area no longer served any purpose for the humans.

So much grief, for such a short chapter in history.

They say that the wailing of the Primeval Tree can no longer be heard. It’s not because she has stopped grieving, but rather that she has fallen asleep of exhaustion, resignation, and sorrow. She’s on death’s door, if she isn’t dead already. But we hope she isn’t, of course.

With this knowledge is mind, it’s an easy conclusion to draw that the old tree in the southwest corner of the Forgotten Fields actually is identical to this “Sleeping Widow.”

How everything is connected to Lisa’s current critical location in Pandoria I can’t quite figure out. But if she says the tree must be woken, I guess we’ll wake it.

I myself, would have tried to make my way to Pandoria and tried to save her there, but it’s extremely risky, not to mention impossible to return from there after…

But how do you wake a magical, slumbering Primeval Tree?

linda

Moving tale. Poor Primeval Trees…

Quest completed

______________

Awakening Help

linda

I think you should talk to Elizabeth directly. It seems obvious that this Primeval Tree, the Sleeping Widow, can’t just be woken up by a regular alarm clock. If anyone has any idea of what kind of magic would be required to awake a slumbering Primeval Tree, it must be Elizabeth.

And Rita, I have a certain feeling you’ll get to use your fragment of Aideen’s Light. If you’re not already carrying it in your bag, you should stop by the supply in your stable and bring it with you to Elizabeth. That would save you a lot of time.

Good luck!

Objectives: Ask Elizabeth’s advice. Bring your fragment of Aideen’s Light. You’ll find it in your bag or in the supply of your stable.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 50 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

The Aideen’s Light item is unable to be deleted, so if it is not in your inventory, you will find it in your closet in your home stable. You do not need it to complete this quest but you will need it for the following quests.

Ride or transport to Valedale and speak to Elizabeth near her house.

 elizabeth_sunbeam

What a tale. What turn of events! We must indeed awake the Sleeping Widow to see if she can rescue Lisa. If Lisa says it is so, then it must be the way to rescue her from Pandoria. If it doesn’t work, we’ll try to find another way.

Hmm… Maybe the roots of this Primeval Tree reach farther than we could ever expect.

Anyway. I know of two things that can shake that ancient Primeval Tree enough to give it the energy it needs to wake up. The tree needs light, strength, and water. You must do three things.

One. Fill a bottle of Aideen’s Tears. You know, the dew from Aideen’s flowers that grow around here.

Two. Energize the fragment of Aideen’s Light by the rune stones up here, in the same way you did last time. You need to have the fragment with you.

If you don’t have it in your bag, you’ll find it in the supply in your stable.

You can’t have rid yourself of it, so it has to be somewhere, I promise you that.

The third thing you need to do is to illuminate the tree with the energized fragment, and water it with Aideen’s Tears, and these two tasks needs to be performed at night. During the night the magic is undisturbed by the bustle of daytime, and the effect of Aideen’s power is so much stronger.

Quest completed

______________

Energize the Fragment of Aideen’s Light

elizabeth_sunbeam

Take the rune staff and ride up to the rune stones behind the house here, and energize your fragment of Aideen’s Light. This time, do it like this: First, use the rune staff on the rune stone of the sun, and then place the fragment onto the rune stone to energize the shard with the light of Aideen.

If you can’t find the fragment in your bag, you’re guaranteed to have it in the supply of your home stable. You know, a white, shining stone… I know you can’t have lost it.

Objectives: Use the rune staff on the rune stone of the sun, and energize the fragment with power by placing it on the rune stone.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Again, you’ll need the fragment item to complete this quest. It cannot be deleted so it is either in your personal inventory or in your stable inventory.

Go up the hill behind Elizabeth’s house to the open area with the rune stones. Dismount your horse and approach the one with the sun symbol on it. First use the rune staff that was placed in your inventory, to activate the stone. Then use the fragment on the stone to energize it.

When you have energized the fragment, return to Elizabeth.

elizabeth_sunbeam

Magnificent! The fragment has been energized with great power!

Gather Tears of Aideen

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Use the purple bottle on the flowers behind the Valedale stable. They are the same ones you collect from during the regular daily quest.

We’ll have our answer tonight.

Nee-ei-igh! I’ll stay behind, ready to help Lisa when you wake the Primeval Tree. I’m sure to be able to keep the crack open until midnight at least.

Hi Rita! It’s so good to see a friendly face again! Whooo! Starshine told me that you and Summerblaze were on the way here, you’re a real hero!

You made the Sleeping Widow save me, and Starshine was able to help me out of the crack and away from that horrid Pandoria. No words can describe how grateful we are that you saved me from that place! It was quite the ordeal, I’ll tell you.

Lisa’s Tale

I’m really grateful you saved me. I mean it. It wasn’t a pleasant experience being imprisoned in Pandoria, I can tell you that much (shiver). Those idiots I just scared off succeeded in ambushing Starshine and I when we were off guard.

This time the story had a happy ending, but this cannot happen again! We really need to be on our watch now, right Rita?

Objectives: Listen to Lisa.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 50 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Recount the past events to Lisa.

lisa

Alright. I understand things have been happening on the island?

I haven’t paid much attention to any ongoing events myself, since I’ve more or less been stuck in Pandoria ever since I last stepped into Jorvik Stables. Of course, I could tell you lots of fun stories from my time as a touring rock star, but that’s hardly important right now. We can do that later. And between you and I, Rita, it’s not that cool and glamorous to be a rock star. I’ll have you know, it’s a lot of hard work and stressful tour schedules to keep. And fame isn’t everything.

It’s nice to be back here where my face isn’t that well recognized. At least not any more. The fans forget you quickly, haha! But my friends last forever. I hope you and I will become good friends.

Anyway. Enough about that.

A Night of Much Needed Rest

You’re right, Rita. We must see the others and meet the druids. I was thinking the same. At least I’ll get an update on the state of things. But before all that I’ll need a change of clothes and a good rest. And something to eat.

Let’s wait with the druids until tomorrow. Rest and recovery goes above all else at this time. I also owe a favor to the Sleeping Widow. But that’ll have to come later.

Objectives: A night’s rest…

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

The Soul Riders are almost at full strength, and soon we’ll have gathered all four partial copies of the Light Ceremony book. When we’re ready and the time has come, we’ll perform the Light Ceremony and be protected. For now though, the time isn’t right.

Lisa, you should know that Dark Core has their hands on the original Light Ceremony Book. Everything points to that they’ll attempt to conduct the ceremony backwards, which will catastrophic consequences.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

lisa

That doesn’t sound good at all! What will they gain by this? What is their goal?

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

fripp

If they perform the ceremony backwards, the crack between our reality and Pandoria will widen. In the worst case, that which keeps our worlds separated will tear apart. What exactly happens next, we don’t really know. One guess is that both our worlds will cease to exist. Or at least cease existing in the form and shape we know today.

Dark Core thinks they’ll be able to control the enormous flow of Pandoric energy, and will likely use it in an attempt to seize control of the world. Maybe they know something we don’t, but the druids are convinced it cannot lead to anything good…

It will probably lead to the end of the world, so it needs to be stopped at all costs.

That was a brief summary of the current situation.

Lisa, could you tell us what happened to you? You were kidnapped and taken to Pandoria?

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

lisa

As you all know, I was on a world tour with my rock band and I’d been away from Jorvik for a while. When I finally ended my tour and came back to Jorvik, those ill-witted Dark Riders succeeded in ambushing Starshine and me. Then they imprisoned me in the horrific world of Pandoria.

Starshine and I weren’t on our guard. That’s a mistake we’ll never repeat.

Later I was rescued, as you all know. Thank goodness. In Pandoria I got in touch with the Primeval Tree, the Sleeping Widow. It was blurred and unclear, but her roots seemed to penetrate even into the unknown world of Pandoria. The Primeval Tree slept in our world, but in the dreamscape of Pandoria she could reach out to me and communicate.

She said she could help me out of Pandoria, but the only way to do so was to wake her up. As a gesture in return, I was to help her with something. I don’t know what yet, but I plan to find out.

My time in Pandoria is incoherent and blurred, but one other thing happened. I got a strong feeling Anne was there at the same time as me. It wasn’t just a weak sensation. I could really feel her presence and it was clear. Because of this, I’m convinced Anne is there, and we have to try to save her.

Maybe the Primeval Tree can help us again, I don’t know…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

fripp

Interesting news. Maybe Anne is in Pandoria. It would be great if we could locate her and save her as well. I would go so far as to say it’s completely necessary. In a worst case scenario, it would require a rescue operation in Pandoria, but that’d have to be our last resort.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

elizabeth_sunbeam

At full strength, we would be very powerful! We’d also need to be aware of the dangers of a trip to Pandoria. One does not simply walk into Pandoria.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

I am not afraid! We have to save her no matter what the risk. We owe it to her. If we have the slightest lead, we have to follow it up.

We’re always there for each other one hundred percent!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

lisa

Yes, Alex. We’ll do that. No doubt about it. I don’t long to go back, but for Anne’s sake…

Hmm… Another matter. I wonder if we can lure Justin away from the grip of the Dark Riders? He an I went to the same school, I know him a little.

And Rita, you know him a bit too, right?

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

elizabeth_sunbeam

If we can remove Justin from Dark Core and the Dark Riders, they’ll weaken even more. It’s true. At least Rita stopped Justin from turning his horse into a Dark Horse. That’s good.

Last time Rita visited the headquarters of Dark Core and saw Justin, he seemed quite determined to continue to work for the dark side.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

lisa

We’ll have to think of something to make him change his mind. Hmm…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

fripp

If you could remove Justin from Dark Core, it would be a massive achievement. But for now we’ll focus on the Light Ceremony we’ll be performing when the time is right. We’ll also keep an eye on any movements the Dark Core makes. We also need to find the other copies of the book, and try to rescue Anne.

This meeting is adjourned for now. We’ll see each other again soon. Welcome back to reality, Lisa. And yet again, many thanks to you Rita, for your efforts for the Keepers of Aideen.

May the light of Aideen shine upon us, and scatter the darkness that surrounds us.

And listen, Lisa. Don’t forget to return the favor. The Primeval Trees have a tendency of primeval rage if they feel tricked, and the wrath of the Primeval Tree is the last thing we need just now.

See you!

When you return to reality, ride back down to Elizabeth and speak to her.

elizabeth_sunbeam

Look at that. Another druid meeting conducted.

Rounding Off at Elizabeth’s

elizabeth_sunbeam

Did we get wiser? Lisa’s been rescued thanks to you, and we have a lead on Anne… But other than that, we’re still going over the same ground. We need to collect the other two book copies so we can prepare ourselves to perform the ceremony when the time comes.

Later we need to follow up on the information about Anne. But are we really ready to conduct a rescue operation in Pandoria? Isn’t that doomed to fail? Maybe there’s another way… Maybe the Sleeping Widow can help us again, but before that we probably have to return her favor.

Objectives: Listen to Elizabeth.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 35 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Listen to Elizabeth’s final advice.

elizabeth_sunbeam

We’ll have to keep our eyes and ears on the Dark Riders and their antics. It’s obviously important to them to destroy us, and they nearly took you to Pandoria.

We need to take counter-action.

Return to Lisa, at Jorvik Stables, tomorrow.

In addition to the magical improvements, I have also made the pulling power of the Shadow Sucker stronger. Now you should be able to pull in the Shadow Seekers from farther away! Fantastic, right? You might not be able to grab the strongest ones, but most of them you should be able to get before they get too close to you.

There! Now you can run off and save Silverglade Village… So don’t just stand around doing nothing. It was you who was in a rush, my friend.

Oh… And good luck! Remember the Shadow Sucker needs to be emptied sometimes and neutralized. The Druid Avalon can probably handle that.

You have to be holding the Shadow Sucker with your cursor and when you get close enough to a Shadow Seeker, the box around the item will turn green and you can use it to catch the Shadow Seeker. Do not get too close to them or they will chase you out of town.

When you have caught all of the Shadow Seekers, speak with the Councilman

council_man

Ha! I knew that you would save us! Now that we have gotten ride of the immediate threat from those horrible shadows that were frightening everyone. Now there is only those scary cracks left to deal with.

Uh, where can I buy one of those vacuum cleaner thingies? I would like to buy one for myself.

Quest completed

______________

Deeper into the Secrets of the Druids

alex

Whew! That was a close one. But now the village is free from those horrible Shadow Seekers at any rate That Shadow Sucker is really an amazing device. You can hear them inside that tube where they are held captive by the Light Spirit dust. Simply amazing!

What was I doing? Oh, that was just a little Lightning Circle protective magic… My Soul Rider power is… As you probably already know… Mostly from the Lightning Circle. But more on that later. Now we need to figure out to close off these cracks before they cause more damage or release more awful Shadow Seekers. The only one who can hep us with that would be Fripp… He should be able to tell us what we need to know.

You need to ride up to Fripp and ask for his advice. If there is anyone who can help us, it is him. I’ll stay here and keep an eye on the situation and do my best to prevent the cracks from releasing any more Shadow Seekers.

Please hurry!

Objectives: Speak with Fripp in the Secret Stonering and ask for guidance.

Rewards: 12 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Ride to Valedale and follow the spiral path above Elizabeth’s house to get to the Secret Stonering. Speak with Fripp there.

fripp

Welcome back to my time, Rita!

Oh, memories.. Pandoric cracks? By all the mild worlds. It has really shaken loose properly this time.

We did really hope that the crack you closed in Goldenhills Valley was a one-time occurrence, but ack! It seems it was only the starting shot of something much worse. It seems this is the result of Dark Core’s malicious activities. They have clearly upset the already delicate balance between Pandoria and our known reality.

The so called Garnok-Effect has begun. May Aideen be with us…

Quest completed

______________

Lightning Circle

fripp

The Garnok-Effect needs to be slowed down! Otherwise we will not be able to stop it. But you can help us with the immediate threat and stall the Garnok-Effect.

To close off the Pandoric cracks in Silverglade Village, you will need to use the magical powers of the Lightning Circle. Are you ready to learn about the Lightning Circle.

Objectives: Listen to Fripp speak about the Lightning Circle.

Rewards: 12 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 15 with Keepers of Aideen

Fripp will tell you more about this new faction.

fripp

Listen to me, Rita.

The Lightning protects against sickness, witchcraft, and malevolent magic. Through harvesting the power of the Lightning you can defend yourself against magic used against you. For a Soul Rider, the Lightning power has two main categories, a defensive kind used to ward off evil magic and a secondly strong offensive attack called “Soul Strike.” The Lightning Circle is the traditional path of a warrior. With strong power comes great responsibility. The Lightning Circle demands great wisdom and forethought from its members.

The druids know that you are very unique in that you have mastered powers from all four circles, even if you are not fully aware of them yet. Now I will teach you how to use the power of the Lightning Circle to close the Pandoric cracks to save Silverglade Village.

As you train with the powers of the Lightning Circle, you will become more effective and experienced with using those powers.

Quest completed

______________

An Exercise in Lightning Circle Magic

fripp

The exercise you will perform is similar to what you will need to do to close the cracks in Silverglade Village. A kind of simulation, if you like.

I’m going to open a weakened version of a crack between our reality and Pandoria. This is not something that should be done lightly. This is what you will need to do:

Get off your horse.

Stand close to the pink glow and neutralize the magical defenses of the crack using the Shadow Sucker. That machine is perfect for this job.

After neutralizing the defenses, watch for blue star shaped sparks. They can be hard to see in the pink glow… So watch carefully. Use your inner Lightning Circle powers to absorb the blue star sparks.

Every time you succeed in absorbing a blue start spark, the crack loses some of its power. When it runs out of power, the crack will close and the portal will disappear. If you fail to absorb enough sparks the defenses of the crack will recharge, and when it regains full power, you might never be able to close it again…

Objectives: Use the Shadow Sucker on the Pandoric portal. Absorb the blue star sparks until the crack energy is depleted and the portal closes.

Rewards: 50 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 50 with The Lightning Circle

Dismount your horse and approach the Pandoric rift. Use the Shadow Sucker on the rift and you will automatically open the portal to be able to absorb the sparks. Click on the stars quickly before they dissolve. If you do not click on them in time, they will add even more power to the rift. If the bar fills up, you will have to start over again with the Shadow Sucker. Continue to work the portal until the bar empties and the rift closes.

Speak with Fripp when you have closed the rift.

fripp

Look at that! You really can harness the power of the Lightning Circle! You really are an extraordinary talent. You never disappoint us. Elizabeth was really right about you.

The more you train in the powers of the Lightning Circle, the easier it will be easier for you to succeed in closing the cracks between our worlds.

Quest completed

______________

Discussion with Avalon

fripp

So that the Shadow Sucker can manage to draw off the defensive magic of the Pandoric portals, Avalon will need to help you strengthen the power of the Shadow Sucker. He should be able to do this by using the magic of the Shadow Seekers that you already sucked up into the machine in Silverglade.

Go off to Avalon in Valedale Village and tell him everything so that he can help you.

Objectives: Speak with Avalon in Valedale Village and ask him to increase the power of the Shadow Sucker.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Exit the Secret Stonering by the swirling portal off to the side. When you are back in Valedale, ride to Avalon’s cottage and speak to him there.

faceless_druid

Very interesting… Very interesting… Pandoric cracks… This is not good at all. Didn’t I say this wasn’t good at all?

But you have a plan! I will help you by improving the Shadow Sucker.

Quest completed

______________

Save Silverglade

faceless_druid

Using the strength of the captured Shadow Seekers, I have strengthened that device so you should be able to use it to close down all the cracks in Silverglade, and maybe more. If you use it a lot, you might have to come back to me to empty and neutralize the Shadow Sucker again.

Now ride off to Silverglade Village and close down all those cracks with your new Lightning Circle powers!

Don’t forget! First weaken the crack’s defenses with the Shadow Sucker, then neutralize the blue remains with your abilities until you have absorbed all the energy which will force it to close. Understand?

Good luck!

Objectives: Ride to Silverglade Village. Weaken the defensive magic of the portals with the Shadow Sucker. Close them with the help of the magic of the Lightning Circle.

Rewards: 260 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

When you get to Silverglade Village, close each of the rifts using the same process you used with Fripp.

“Silverglade Village is saved this time! Without you and Alex working together, this could have had a horrible ending. This otherwise quiet town has now been made well aware that a strange power threatens them, and perhaps even the entire population of the island is threatened.

But there are still so many questions. Is this only the beginning of Garnok’s awakening? Are you and the Keepers of Aideen going to be able to protect the island from Garnok and the evil activities of Dark Core in the future? Whatever is happening is Jorvik, you are definitely going to play a central part in our history.

Today you have proved again that you are a true hero and the fate of Jorvik is in your hands.”

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

council_man

That was epic. Thank you Rita! You really performed a miracle today! You saved us from what might have become the end of the world. Do you understand what an amazing hero you really are?

This is Just the Beginning of the End…

alex

What you did here today was very important. We will remember this for a long time. But the danger is not over yet. I am afraid that this is only the beginning. The beginning of something very distressing indeed. We are almost drained of power after this serious episode and I have just received word that we have more miracles to accomplish.

Are you ready?

Objectives: Listen to the new instructions from Alex.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 15 with Keepers of Aideen

Alex will tell you more about what is happening.

alex

Dark Core has really increased the Garnok-Effect. Their activities seem to have acted as a catalyst that has increased the chaotic power of Garnok. This is very important. I have already seen indications that more cracks have appeared in other places around Silverglade.

They have discovered another large crack at the Winery and another out on Everwind Field. I think we can almost see the pink light shining to the sky from here.

Go and investigate the new cracks and close them if you can. I will clean up the last ones here in the village and restore order. I’ll follow you later if you need any help.

Quest completed

Close the two rifts, then report to Alex in Silverglade Village.

The dangerous crack shines with the energy of Pandoric magic that seeps out into our reality while at the same time, bit by bit, it sucks in our reality to another magical world, quite like a flowing drain.

Use the Shadow Sucker to weaken the crack and then close it with the power of the Lightning Circle.

Objectives: Use the Shadow Sucker on the crack. Use your abilities to close the crack. Report back to Alex when you are done.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Close the rift then speak with Alex in Silverglade Village.

In the Service of the Keepers of Aideen

alex

I don’t know what Mr Sands and his minions have been up to this time, but it is clear that Garnok is much more active than he has ever been before. Now we need to help in keeping watch after new cracks. They can come at any time, and believe me, there are going to be more. I’ll be helping to close the ones that I can.

Are you ready to help me protect Jorvik from the Pandoric Garnok threat?

Even if it is going to take us to the end of time and possibly beyond it?

Objectives: Accept Alex’s offer to help protect Jorvik. Keep your eyes open for new cracks. Every day.

Rewards: 50 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Closing the rifts has now become a daily quest. They will all follow the same process to close. Click on the crack when you approach it to start the opening quest dialogue. Then you can use the Shadow Sucker on it and enter the portal. When you have closed the crack, visit Avalon in Valedale to finish the quests. Each crack you close will give you reputation with the Lightning Circle faction, which will be needed in the future.

alex

There, Rita. We have an important assignment. As Keepers of Aideen, it is our duty to protect Jorvik from going under and vanishing into the Pandorian pink fog.

From now on we need to keep watch. Every day we need to be prepared.

The easiest thing to do is to ride up the mountain and look out over the lands, I think. The pink glow can be seen from a long way away. In the evening, at night, and the early morning will be the best times to see them. Be well informed. Other people can find the cracks and let you know where they might show up.

May the light of Aideen shine over us all in these troubled, pink-glowing times…

Quest completed

Return to Alex when you are Admired by the Lightning Circle.

______________

An End to the Pink…

alex

Well done, Rita! We have managed to calm the wrath of Garnok a little bit. Thanks to your enormous effort, hopefully there will be no more cracks for a good while into the future. The Pandorian imbalance is now smaller after we have fought so valiantly against it.

Finally it is time for a little rest, but the danger is far from over right now. Any moment now Dark Core could do something malicious again to disturb the imbalance again, if they haven’t already…

Objective: Speak with Alex.

Rewards: 250 Jorvik Shillings, 120 XP

Reputation: 50 with the Lightning Circle

-wipes forehead- Whew! Glad that’s over!

alex

You are now a full member of the Lightning Circle, very well done, Rita. There are not many people that make it this far, Rita, you need to know that. You really are something special! Congratulations and welcome to the Lightning Circle!

Objectives: Speak with Elizabeth.

Rewards: 35 Jorvik Shillings, 55 XP

Reputation: 15 with The Sun Circle

Elizabeth will tell you more.

elizabeth_sunbeam

No, Rita, you are done with your training for awhile. Fripp thinks we should begin to prepare ourselves for a new expedition to Dark Core’s headquarters to try and find out more of their plans. Me or someone else will contact you when we are ready for the next step.

Quest completed

Alex is still at Mrs Holdsworth’s house and wants to see you.

Inform Elizabeth About Katja

alex

I think it would be best if we tell the Keepers of Aideen that we suspect that Katja has managed to push back into our world. Our suspicion is based solely on James’s nightmares, which might be a coincidence but is far too serious for us to ignore.

Ride over to Elizabeth and tell her about our suspicions.

Objectives: Ride to Elizabeth in Valedale and tell her we suspect Katja has returned.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 5 with Keepers of Aideen

Ride back to Valedale and speak with Elizabeth.

elizabeth_sunbeam

Katja? That sounds terrible… We really want nothing to do with her. If she is, as I understand, truly back in this world and has become Dark Core’s fourth Dark Rider, it is a complete catastrophe for us. We need to execute a return visit to the headquarters of Dark Core to find out more and see if Katja really has returned.

Quest completed

______________

Preparations for the Return

elizabeth_sunbeam

The time has come to return to Dark Core’s headquarters and find out what is really happening there now.

Can we find out if Mr Sands really has the Lost Light Ceremony Book in his possession? We really need to know if he has brought Katja back to this world to become the fourth Dark Rider for Dark Core. Can we also find out if Justin has joined Dark Core of his own free will… Or if he was forced in some way?

If Justin has been forced into this somehow… Maybe there is a way we can help him escape…

There are definitely questions we need an answer to. This assignment is very dangerous, but you have been there before and did very well, so I am confident that you are the best of all of us for this mission.

Judging by your fantastic results in your druid training, I think you are truly ready for this.

Do you feel ready?

Objectives: Let Elizabeth know you are ready for the mission.

Rewards: 12 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 5 with Keepers of Aideen

Tell Elizabeth if you are ready for this mission, all dangers accepted.

elizabeth_sunbeam

Good!

Stop Over at the Winery

elizabeth_sunbeam

I have already spoken with Captain Brus and he will arrange transportation to the Dark Core headquarters. He would like you to stop at the Winery and collect some diesel fuel for him on the way to Cape West Fishing Village.

He needs the fuel for the boat trip to the Dark Core headquarters. You will be riding past the Winery anyways on your way to Cape West Fishing Village. Can you collect a fuel barrel for him there?

Good luck Rita! Be careful! May the light of Aideen protect you.

Objectives: Stop at the Winery and ask Carney about a barrel of diesel fuel for Captain Brus.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 5 with Keepers of Aideen

What’s a barrel of fuel between friends?

carney

Hello Rita! A barrel of diesel fuel for Captain Brus?

Quest completed

Fuel Transport

carney

Of course. The barrel is full and ready over beside the big tank in front of the Winery equipment store. You know where it is. You can’t really miss it. Take the barrel on the back of your horse and deliver it to Captain Brus in Cape West.

Objectives: Take the barrel of diesel from behind the big tank and deliver it to Captain Brus in Cape West.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Pick up the barrel and it will be placed on your horse. Ride carefully to Captain Brus.

Arr! I thank you for the delivery. This should be enough for the trip there and back, and home again… And there and a bit more.

______________

Where is My Helmsman?

captain_brus

But arr! My helmsman should be here… He knows that he needs to help with driving you. We’ll just have to wait until tomorrow and hope that he shows up.

Your mission is urgent, you say? We don’t have time to wait? Hrmmm… Okay.

I wonder where he could be?

What is that that strikes my northern eye? What in all the sunburned salty souls?? I think I can see him in his boat by the village west beach. There, beyond the red house, you see? Arr! Ride over to him and ask him what he thinks he is doing.

Objectives: Speak with the helmsman who is driving around in his boat by the north beach outside Cape West Fishing Village.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Ride onto the beach that runs along the west edge of the village island to find the helmsman in his tiny boat.

sailor

Hello! Yes, I know I am supposed to transport you out to the Dark Core secret headquarters… But something important came up in between and I was hoping to fit it in before we were supposed to leave.

Quest completed

______________

Helmsman’s Dilemma

sailor

Okay. You need to understand. I have a wonderful wife that I miss every day that I am away. She needs to take care of our farm all by herself while I am out working as a helmsman. We almost never manage to find the time to see each other. So we communicate in bottles. A free and dependable message system… Completely free of stamps and wires!

But today I haven’t been able to find a message from her. It always washes up here along the beach somewhere. I had hoped to find the message before we left. Maybe you can help me find the bottle here along the western beach? I’m worried the bottle has ended up somewhere where it might be hard to find.

Objectives: Look along the beach for the bottle from the helmsman’s wife and give the bottle to him.

Rewards: 20 Jorvik Shillings, 35 XP

Search the beach for the lost bottle and when you have found it, return to the helmsman.

sailor

Thank you Rita! Now that I have heard from her, I feel good again. I can stop worrying about her and can concentrate on helping you.

Quest completed

______________

Message in a Bottle

sailor

Can you help me with one more thing? I need more bottles for our frequent messages to each other. I collect bottles here in Cape West. People seem to just throw them everywhere so I think you could get a dozen for me without any trouble at all. While I am filling the boat up to get ready for our trip, could you go collect the bottles? I’ll be beside Captain Brus when you are done. We’ll see you when you have found a dozen bottles, okay?

Objectives: Search for a dozen empty bottles in Cape West Fishing Village and give them to the helmsman by Captain Brus.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 35 XP

Search Cape West for twelve bottles and when you have found enough, find the helmsman moored along Longbridge, near Captain Brus.

sailor

What great bottles! These are perfect for sending messages! Thank you for your help. While you were gone I have filled up the boat, read the message about my wife’s daily life at home, and now I am ready for our voyage.

Quest completed

______________

Where Are They?

captain_brus

So you helped the helmsman sort out a little problem? Alright then, that was good. But now it is time for you to go out on the boat.

Speak with the helmsman again to get on your way!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

sailor

Hold on now! Now we are off to Dark Core’s headquarters!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

self

Where are they? You’ll need to sneak around until you find them. Make sure nobody sees you. You’ll need to leave your horse here or they will see you right away!

Objectives: Leave your horse and sneak around until you find Mr Sands and his followers.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 5 with Keepers of Aideen

Follow the same path you took the first time, but this time, go around the top of the building and out onto the helipad. There you will find the portal and Mr Sands and his gang gathered.

self

As you sneak be sure to watch the guards and their movements and time yours so that you don’t get caught. If your path has to cross with a guard’s path, make sure that you are hiding before he sees you. Take your time navigating the oil rig and make sure you don’t get caught.

There seem to be people on the helicopter landing pad over there! It looks like they have some kind of strange portal out there. I can’t see it very well from here…

Quest completed

______________

Spy on the Bad Guys

self

I better get closer and find a good place to hide that is close enough to be able to hear what they are saying… But far enough away that I won’t be discovered…

Objectives: Find a place where you can spy on Mr Sands and his followers.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 5 with Keepers of Aideen

Make your way down along the edge of the helipad and find a ramp close enough to hear from.

self

This is the perfect hiding place! That girl in white must be Katja. Too bad. She looks just like the girl in James’s nightmares… But… I wonder what they are up to?

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mr_sands

My friends. My Dark Riders! You don’t know how much pleasure it gives me to see you all gathered here and now… The time is near when we will start our great work. The Not-So-Lost Light Ceremony Book has revealed to me the exact time and place where we will strike. Our time is soon upon us.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

dark_justin

Hehe. Well done, Grandfather! Soon the world will be in our hands! Well done!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mr_sands

Our latest addition, Katja, has recovered from her… “Trip” here to us and no longer needs to rest in the light from the Dark Portal to regain her lost strength. Finally she can move freely among us.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

katja

At your service! Thank you for bringing me here… I am happy to become your fourth Dark Rider. It is a great honor. You will never understand what an honor it is…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mr_sands

Good! Soon we will have control over the Pandoric energy that is the key to limitless power, beyond human understanding. This is thanks to our thorough research and preparations.

When we perform the dark ceremony, the power will be in our hands!

Nothing will be able to stop us!

When the time is right, you will all know what to do, you will all have your part to play. Now we will bide our time and celebrate our upcoming triumph with a little celebration. I have prepared a banquet in the main building.

Let us celebrate with some lasagna!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

dark_justin

Hurray! Lasagna! Did you hear that girls! Lasagna!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mr_sands

Let us go in.

Justin, you clear us here first and turn down the power to the portal, then you may join us again. Okay? Just remember not to go too close to the portal.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

dark_justin

Of course! You are the boss! We’ll see you inside. But listen, remember to save some for me. Ha ha ha! Wait for me!

Quest completed

This may be the only chance we can get to speak to Justin alone. Wait for the right time to speak with him.

Objectives: Wait until Justin is alone so you can speak with him without being discovered by the others.

Rewards: 20 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 5 with Keepers of Aideen

Wait for the others to walk towards the main building before approaching Justin.

dark_justin

Arrg! Wow you scared me! Don’t sneak up on people like that. Who… Who… You?! What are YOU doing here? Rita, that is your name right?

Quest completed

______________

Justin’s Story

dark_justin

You think I am here against my will? You know what? I am absolutely here by my own choice. Mr Sands is my grandfather and I will be there for him when he needs me. Together we are going to rule the world. That thing people call “Garnok” is a Pandoric power that bubbles beneath the surface of Jorvik and is just waiting to be released and tamed by us. Soon we will control that Pandoric energy as easily as you control your horse. Do you get it now?

Objectives: Speak with Justin.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 5 with Keepers of Aideen

Well, that answers that question…

dark_justin

How are we going to tame the Pandoric forces? Ha ha ha! You don’t know very much do you, little girl. The Lost Light Ceremony Book is not lost as some people would like to believe. My grandfather, Mr Sands, has found it and knows exactly how we are going to perform the light ceremony that will release the power and will give Dark Core unlimited power! Ha ha ha! It is going to be an amazing new ere, one of power and respect! You should join us, Rita.

Quest completed

______________

An Unkind Farewell

dark_justin

Why am I telling you all this? The first time I met you, I thought you were decent enough, and I still think so, even if you have been a little nosy and you are hanging out with those weird druids. It doesn’t matter if you know this or not. Now that our group of Dark Riders is complete there is nobody who can stop us. We know that the druids have no idea that Lisa is defenseless and lost in the Grey Mountains… And that Anne is… No. I’m not going to say any more. But it really doesn’t matter, you and your druids have no hope in stopping us now anyways!

You want to know if I’m going to let you go?

Objectives: Speak with Justin.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 15 with Keepers of Aideen

Pretty please, with a cherry on top??

dark_justin

Yes. I am going to let you go, on the condition that you leave right away and stop snooping around here. Just like I told you to get out of here the last time you were snooping around. I’m not just letting you go because I like you. Your bravery is something that should be admired and rewarded. If you had been anyone else I would have seen to it that Mr Sands would imprison you here forever.

Quest completed

______________

To Leave Dark Core

dark_justin

So. See you Rita! Get out of here before someone else sees you or I change my mind. I’m going to go have some lasagna. You can find a shortcut to the lower platform through that pipe over there just before the steps that lead upstairs to the main building. Take the shortcut and nobody will see you. The others here are not as kind as me.

Goodbye and we won’t see you later. Maybe you might come crawling back here one day when Dark Core is a world power. Who knows? I’ll put in a good word for you then. Ha ha ha! Goodbye!

Objectives: Go back to the helmsman without being discovered. Take the shortcut through the pipe that is beside the stairs leading up the main building.

Rewards: 20 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 15 with Keepers of Aideen

The shortcut is along top the pipe, not through it.

Go around the fence next to the stairs and drop down on top of the pipe. Run along top of it until you get down to the helmsman.

sailor

There you are! Summerblaze and I were beginning to worry about you.

Quest completed

Return to Jorvik and speak with Captain Brus

Report Back to Elizabeth

captain_brus

Arrr! The mission was successful? Good, good. You can always ask the helmsman to take you back there anytime you like. So you are going to hurry back to Elizabeth to tell her everything? That sounds wise. See you soon!

Objectives: Ride to Elizabeth and tell her what you have discovered.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 25 with Keepers of Aideen

Wait until she hears about this!

elizabeth_sunbeam

You are back already? I have been so worried about you. Tell us what you found out!

Quest completed

______________

Summing It Up

elizabeth_sunbeam

If I’m going to summarize what you have just told me…

One. They are not a complete group of Dark Riders with Katja that they have brought though a mystic portal of some kind…

Two. Justin seems to be there of his own free will and probably can’t be convinced to disappoint his evil grandfather.

Three. It is also true that Mr Sands is in possession of the Lost Light Ceremony Book.

Four. They have somehow disarmed Lisa and she is hidden somewhere in the Grey Mountains rocky ranges.

Five. They are going to do the Light Ceremony to free the Pandorian power and then somehow they are going to control it and use that power to take over the world… And through the book they know how they are going to do it.

Objectives: Speak with Elizabeth.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 25 with Keepers of Aideen

Yep, that does about sum it up.

But you forgot about the part about how Justin is so excited by eating lasagna. Maybe we could use that to lure him away from Dark Core?

elizabeth_sunbeam

Catastrophe! We need to act against Dark Core and stop them! The worst part isn’t that they are planning world domination… The worst thing is that Jorvik – and possibly the whole world – will be destroyed if they try and release that Pandoric power.

Quest completed

______________

Plan Counter Measures

elizabeth_sunbeam

We stand on the brink of a new era. We don’t know where or when they will perform their dark ceremony. But they must have ferreted out how to do it from the Lost Light Ceremony Book. The Keepers of Aideen have secret copies of the most important chapters of the book, so we aren’t completely without hope… Through studying the copied chapters carefully we might be able to figure out how it is going to happen… Exactly as Dark Core has done.

The copies are divided in four and are, to be safe, spread out with four of our druids. We need to bring the four copies together for study. At the same time we need to have four Soul Riders ready who can stop them when the time comes.

More preparations are required…

Objectives: Speak with Elizabeth.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 25 with Keepers of Aideen

Now is the time to begin to act…

elizabeth_sunbeam

We need to ask everyone who is loyal to us to keep their eyes open for our enemies so we can improvise a defense if we suspect they are about to perform their dark ceremony before we are fully prepared to strike back. We also know where they are right now and it would help to keep watch over their oil platform.

The girl you are having nightmares about is called Katja and she is a hateful and evil spirit with one foot in our world and the other in another world called Pandoria. She kidnapped you years ago and wanted me and  my horse for dark reasons in exchange. You don’t remember? You don’t? Strange… Probably for the best.

…Katja… Wow. If she is back then she might be the fourth Dark Rider! This might be the beginning of the end for all of us!

alex

It would be more accurate to ask how this affects us all… As the whole world is in danger, this is nothing you really need to worry about, my little James. Don’t worry your little head about it. We’ll take care of this.

Rita, are you thinking what I am thinking? Just think if Mr Sands and his evil friends have somehow managed to succeed in getting Katja to our world again? Imagine if Katja has become the fourth Dark Rider? If it is true, they are far ahead of us… What a terrible thought. What should we do?

I think what you really need is a kick in your whiny little butt!

Mrs Holdsworth will know what to do about James’s big problem.

I have a solution prepared for you, James. Don’t be upset. James, you can’t listen while I give Rita some instructions, so put those turnips back in your ears while I talk with her.

Fright Cure

mrs_holdsworth

Here is what we will do. We will scare the nightmares out of his subconscious by giving him a real scare of our own. He might forget some other stuff if we scare him well enough… But a little loss isn’t a big deal… Listen up!

Take this sheet. You can use this to dress up like a ghost and scare him in the mine. Ride to the Demascus Mine. Hide to the left inside the mine.

Meanwhile I can hypnotize James a bit and convince him to visit the mine. When he comes in, you jump out and give him a proper scare. If this works, the old memory should be scared right out of his subconscious mind and his nightmares should stop.

Do you understand the plan? Get yourself to the mine and scare the unsuspecting James. Good luck. Don’t get scared yourself now…

Objectives: Hide in to the left in the Demascus Mine. Dress up like a ghost and scare the unsuspecting James. Don’t get scared yourself!

james

Was that just you? If I was ss-s-scared? Ah… *hic*… Not really.

Nah… That was nothing. Who is afraid of ghosts anyways? Why are you dressed up as a ghost in the mine anyway? A part of a cure for my nightmares?

*hic*

Eh… What nightmares are you talking about?

Frightful Potential

james

So I’m cured now? Okay… That sounds good. I actually feel like a huge weight has been taking off my shoulders. I feel more at peace than I have before actually… Strange…

I want to thank you Rita. I’m going to go back to Fort Pinta. You can say hi and give my best to Mrs Holdsworth and pass on my humble thanks for all the help!

Objectives: Give the ghost sheet back to Mrs Holdsworth and tell her that everything went well.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

Hehe, that felt good. Maybe scaring will suffice instead of a kick in the butt for now.

mrs_holdsworth

He got the hiccups you scared him so well? And seemed a little confused? Perfect! So he should be cured for the time being. The ghost sheet was scary enough? Maybe you can borrow it again for next Halloween. Who knows.

The Fourth Dark Rider…

alex

If we are going to sum this up… If it is true that Katja is back and she is becoming the fourth Dark Rider, then we are really in trouble, Rita. I have a feeling she is back. Why else would James suddenly start dreaming about her suddenly?

Objectives: Speak together with Alex.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 45 XP

Reputation: 15 with Keepers of Aideen

This is very serious…

alex

We really need to keep our eyes open now, Rita. Right now is a strange and dangerous time here on Jorvik, but this is nothing new. But now the darkness is building and the clouds are growing faster than ever before. But we will be ready to fight when the time comes! I only wish we could be ready now… But the druids need their time to prepare too. We’ll see you again soon, Rita.

Quest completed

With that done, let’s go see Jasper. Something has happened out on his pumpkin farm.

old_man_jasper

Oh my heart! Huh? Rita! It is lucky you came by.

You should have been here yesterday. It was peaceful and quiet and the birds were chirping in the bushes. All of a sudden a loud rumbling started and the whole ground began to shake!I thought it was very strange. Then it happened! I heard a horrible crack and a huge boulder crashed down from the mountain! Just imagine if I had been out for my morning walk, Rita. I could have been flattened like a pancake!

It seems to have calmed down up there in the mountains now. But what if it happens again? Can you ride up there above my farm and see what might have caused this? You will? Great, come back and tell me if you find anything.

See you soon and please be careful!

Objective: Ride up into the mountains above Jasper’s farm and see if you can find out the cause of the falling boulders.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 10 XP

Follow the trail of boulders up to the east of the north road. The trail goes up between two large rocks and you have to go through some bushes. You will come out into a little clearing and see a huge wall of the strange boulders.

When you find the rockslide, return to Jasper.

old_man_jasper

A gigantic pile of mysterious boulders in the mountains? And you took a mysterious stone from the pile? Even more mysterious than the boulder that rolled down onto the farm? Wow… That must be amazingly mysterious.

Quest completed

______________

The Witch Probably Knows More

old_man_jasper

This is very mysterious. I’ve never seen a stone stranger than this one… It is glowing pink. It seems to weigh almost nothing. If I had known there were strange rocks like this I would have carried them away a long time ago!

You know what? Take this stone over to Pi, the witch that lives in the swamp close to my farm, you know the one. She knows a lot about strange and unusual things. Ask her if she knows what is going on.

Objectives: Speak with the witch Pi and ask her about the rockslide in the mountains.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 5 XP

Ride the north road into the swamp and meet Pi at her house.

nice_pi

Abracadar– Who is there? Aha, it is only you, Rita.

Thee has been a rockslide from the mountain? I thought I heard something this morning. Pink glowing and feather-light stones? You have one with you? Let me have a look at it.

Quest completed

______________

Mysterious Mysteries in the Mountains

nice_pi

Let’s have a look at that stone. Hmmm… This is terrible!

That stone is no ordinary stone. The pink is Pandoric material, infused into the rock. What is special about it?

Rita, stones like this don’t exactly show up every day… And now you say there is a whole pile of these stones on the mountain.

You are sure you aren’t making this up, Rita? I really have to see this myself to believe it!

Rita! We’ll see you up by the entrance to that strange valley. Hop on your horse and ride back up there. I’ll fly up there on my broom. We’ll see you there by the rock pile. Having never learned to fly is no excuse for being slow!

Objectives: Ride up the entrance to the strange valley in the mountains and speak with the witch Pi.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Leave the swamp and meet Pi by the rockslide.

nice_pi

Haha, that took you a long time, Rita. You need to learn how to fly and then you will it is the only way to travel! I’ve had a chance to set up my portable witch laboratory here so we can analyze these stones a bit better.

Quest completed

______________

Everyone… Dance the Rain Dance

nice_pi

Well… While you were taking your sweet time coming up the mountain… I did a little experiment on the stones and discovered something interesting. They are extremely light and I discovered that they will dissolve in water. They just vanish… POOF! Just like that!

So, what we need to do is a good, old-fashioned rain dance. If you dance with me, we should be able to call up some really wet weather to rinse away the stones so we can see what is on the other side of the rockslide.

Get off your horse and stand over there and I will show you how it is done.

Just do what I do and you will get to see something. Hmm… Can you get Summerblaze to dance with us? The more the better!

Okay… Here we go. One and a two and a three and four!

Objectives: Dance, Rita, dance!

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 30 XP

Wiggle those little dancin’ feet!

Source of the Shadows

nice_pi

Shadow Seekers… In my backyard. Those are Pandorian creatures, Rita. They shouldn’t be in our world… Which I’m sure you understand. Have the druids not taught you anything?

Hmmm…

There must be some kind of source or portal they are coming through. If you can find it, I will figure out a way to stop them. We cannot let the portal stay open… If we don’t close it more and more Shadow Seekers will pour into Goldenhills Valley.

They catch you if they see you? I’m sure you can make it… Shadow Seekers do not see very well. If you hide yourself well, they won’t be able to get you.

There are thorn bushes there? That sounds perfect. Hide in the bushes and you will see they won’t be able to find you.

Objectives: Go back to the strange valley and get past the Shadow Seekers inside it. Hide in the thorn bushes, let the Shadow Seekers pass you, then you can sneak past them. Find the source of where they are coming from.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 30 XP

Leave your horse outside the valley as it scares them, and go into the valley on foot. Make your way to the end of the valley to find the source of the trouble. If you have to cross paths with a Shadow Seeker, be sure that you are hidden in the thorn bushes, until they pass.

When you find the source, return to Pi. You can take the cliff marked ‘shortcut’ to go back out without having to pass the Shadow Seekers again.

nice_pi

A glowing crack in the ground? That must be where they are coming from!

Rita, we have to close that rift and get rid of those horrible Shadow Seekers.

Quest completed

Return to Pi tomorrow.

elizabeth_sunbeam

The druids are very happy with your progress in training. They are so impressed that they want you to continue to the next step in the exercises already. James is having issues. Let’s go see if we can help him.

Nightmares from the Past

james

Hello Rita. I am completely worn out after many long, sleepless nights. Can you believe it? What? No. It isn’t because I have been playing video games all night. It is something else…

I haven’t slept for a long time now. I’ve been tormented relentlessly by horrible nightmares every night. Do you think you can help me?

Objectives: Speak with James and accept the assignment if you want to help him.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

Well, even though you are just a little whelp, I’ll still help you. Because I’m nice like that…

james

Thank you. I’ve been a nervous wreck from this lack of sleep and can’t manage my job. The worst part is that I can’t remember what the dreams are about! As soon as I fall asleep, I wake up again… All cold, sweaty and scared to death. But I can never remember the dream.

I think the dream is about something in my past. But what could it be?

Quest completed

______________

Can Dreams Be Read?

james

Can someone really read another person’s dreams? Then it might be possible to find out what is scaring me. Hmm…

Mrs Holdsworth? You think she might have some tips for us? Maybe. The old lady is clever. Could you ask her? I don’t really feel up to the trip myself at the moment… I am completely destroyed. You already have a good relationship with her, right? If you bring it up with her then it might not be so expensive for me…

Objectives: Ask Mrs Holdsworth, who lives outside Moorland Stables, if she can read dreams.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

Ride to Moorland and speak with Mrs Holdsworth.

mrs_holdsworth

So the little guy is having nightmares then? And he can’t remember them. Hmm… It sounds like he is dreaming about something he has blocked out… Something horrible and traumatic from a long time ago. But answer me this: Yes I can have a try at reading his dreams, but can I have your help?

Quest completed

______________

A Dream Machine

mrs_holdsworth

I need to borrow Carney’s strange contraption that he uses as a comparison machine up there at the Winery. Ride over to him and ask if we can borrow it someday. It is absolutely necessary for us to be able to project James’s dreams for us.

Objectives: Ride over to Carney at the Winery and ask him about borrowing the comparison machine.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

Ride to the Winery and speak with Carney. Hopefully he won’t be grumpy about helping us.

carney

Mrs Holdsworth wants to borrow my adorable contraption? Hmm…

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

That’s one item checked off our list.

mrs_holdsworth

Perfect. This old machine should do the trick.

Quest completed

______________

Sleeping Pills

mrs_holdsworth

To dream, you need to sleep. Even if James daydreams, sometimes it won’t help us in this case. He needs to sleep like a… Hmm… Like a bear in winter! To get him to do that, we’ll need some sleeping pills from the vet  in Silverglade Village… She will definitely have those.

Objectives: Ask the Veterinarian in Silverglade Village for some sleeping pills for Mrs Holdsworth’s dream reading project.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

The vet is always very helpful.

vet

Hello Rita! Beautiful day isn’t it? Sleeping pills? I don’t hand those out to just anyone… They are a strong and dangerous medication.

Quest completed

______________

Pills for Mrs Holdsworth

vet

Aha… You need the pills for a project with Mrs Holdsworth to fix James’s sleeping problem? I understand. That is okay. Take this bottle. These sleeping pills are really for the lemmings up by North Link who are not able to sleep because of all the road work going on up there… But now they have earplugs instead. Cheaper and healthier. So take these, they should do the trick!

Objectives: Take the pills to Mrs Holdsworth.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

That’s two things checked off our list.

mrs_holdsworth

That is wonderful that you got the sleeping pills. Normally for lemmings… I thought I had heard of everything… Hmm…

Quest completed

______________

Turnips

mrs_holdsworth

We need Dream Turnips. They are normally used in this kind of dream project and I know that Barney, by the silo, grows excellent specimens to sell to dream researchers in Jorvik City.

Ask Barney if we can have two turnips.

Objectives: Ask Barney about his special turnips. He can be found by the silo beside Steve’s Farm.

mrs_holdsworth

Very nice turnips. Now we need a cat to sleep on them overnight so they can have the effect they should for our little dream project.

I have a cat somewhere. Here kitty, kitty…

Quest completed

______________

Tell Alex About Her Little Brother

mrs_holdsworth

As I’m sure you know, James is Alex’s little brother. I’m sure she knows more about James’s past than he does. I think you should tell Alex about what James is going through at the moment and ask her to come here tomorrow when we are ready. Alex was here earlier and she said she was going to speak to Conrad. I’m sure you can still find him there at his forge.

Objectives: Alex is hanging out by the blacksmiths with Conrad. Tell her about her brother’s troubles.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

Speak with Alex about kid brother.

alex

Hello! So my little brother is having trouble with nightmares? Of course I’ll come and try to help. I’m sure I do remember more of his past than he does… That little weasel.

Tomorrow? No problem. I’ll see you there at Mrs Holdsworth’s. See you soon!

Quest completed

______________

Tell James About the Appointment

mrs_holdsworth

Tell little James when we are going to start the project. He is the main person involved here, so it would work better if he was on time…

Objectives: Tell James when the sleep project is going to start.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

Ride to Fort Pinta and tell James of the project.

james

Tomorrow? Already? Perfect! I’ll definitely be there. This has to stop. See you tomorrow.

I’ll make sure not to oversleep! Hahaha!

Quest completed

We Also Need Linda

mrs_holdsworth

Linda has a special gift and sometimes sees visions. We need her as the final link between us and the sleeping James. Can you ride over to the Winery and see if Linda can come help us? I’m sure she is up there or in the library.

Objectives: Ride over to Linda at the Winery and ask if she can come and help.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

You can find Linda by the Winery library.

linda

linda

Of course I’ll help! But I don’t have a horse right now, so can you give me a ride to Mrs Holdsworth’s cottage? It doesn’t matter that it isn’t starting until tomorrow. I’ll stay overnight at her house. She is old and wise and has lots of interesting stories to tell.

Objectives: Give Linda a ride to Mrs Holdsworth’s house.

Rewards: 25 Jorvik Shillings, 35 XP

Take Linda to Mrs Holdsworth’s house.

Objectives: Listen to Mrs Holdsworth.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Calm yourself, young whippersnapper…

mrs_holdsworth

There is a lot that needs to be made ready. The turnips need to be matured by the cat there overnight. So we can’t do it until tomorrow anyways. You have to be patient my little friend!

Quest completed

Return to Mrs Holdsworth tomorrow.

Go around behind the containers on the beach and get inside the refrigerator that is left there.

Very strange place to hide, but go with it…

______________

Adventure in the Heart of Darkness

self

“You need to find your horse Summerblaze and you have to try to locate Justin. Don’t be seen and caught!”

Objectives: Avoid detection and locate your horse and Justin. Moe towards the main building on the upper level.

Rewards: 40 Jorvik Shillings, 100 XP

Reputation: 75 with Keepers of Aideen

The guards follow a predictable pattern. Take your time and watch their movements to synchronize your movements so that you won’t be seen. Utilize the hiding places to remain unseen when you have to cross paths with the guards.

Find a way into the Dark Core building.

self

“You found both your horse and Justin. Justin is in a conversation and no one has discovered you, yet. Maybe you can hear parts of the conversation…”

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mr_sands

… I don’t understand. Justin, what do you mean this is not your horse?

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

dark_justin

I don’t understand either. There must have been some sort of mixup. The only thing I know for sure is that that isn’t my horse.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

jessica

Nope. We noticed… And it doesn’t have the lovely, dark abilities either. Those that the witch Pi was supposed to give it. That’s just an ordinary nag. Hm… Even a little weaker than a regular horse, I would add. Is it sick?

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

dark_rider

Hm… Jessica. It feels like that horse has some sort of hidden power. It’s not sick, but there’s something fishy about it. I can feel its power, but it’s not the kind we expected.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

jessica

This is unheard of! We put so much effort and money on that witch Pi, and then she tricks us like this and sends us… That!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mr_sands

Wait! I don’t think Pi tricked us. She’s been a faithful servant and delivered Dark Horses several times before. You don’t let down Dark Core, you just don’t. There’s been some sort of mistake and we have to find out what it is, and fast! This doesn’t feel right.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

dark_justin

This hose feels familiar somehow. I just can’t place it. My memory is a bit hazy… I must have seen it before, but when?

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mr_sands

After you joined us and saw things from the right side – that is, the dark side – you may have forgotten… Some of your past. But it’ll be okay grandson. It’s all right. There’s probably no important memories anyway. Ahem… (cough, cough)

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

jessica

Not only do we lack a Dark Horse for Justin, we still don’t have a perfect candidate for the fourth and final Dark Rider. We have to be four! And it has to be before those darn druids have time to gather their four silly Soul Riders…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

dark_rider

Calm down, Jessica, just calm down. When I scouted Silverglade, I couldn’t find a shred of evidence that they’re on the track for either Lisa or Anne.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

jessica

But they got to Linda, didn’t they?

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

dark_rider

I couldn’t arrange her disappearance as elegantly as with Lisa and Anne. He he! One more or less. And if it wasn’t for that newcomer, Linda would still be gone. What was her name again? That horse girl who came to Moorland?

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

dark_justin

Rita! Now I remember! And that horse is hers… It’s Summerblaze!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

mr_sands

Shh…

I feel a disturbance in the dark force…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

dark_rider

It smells like… Druid? Look! Who’s that lurking behind the curtains?!

I thought I felt someone’s presence anyway! That’s Rita! Get her!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

dark_justin

What do you want?! Rescue me? I don’t want to be rescued!

Get out! Just get out of here, Rita!

I have joined my grandfather and embraced the dark side! Just leave this place. Now! Now!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

Quest completed

The Wild Escape From Dark Core

self

“Just sneak out of here! You have to be fast as greased lightning! It’s without Justin this time… Keep the distress flare ready! When you get outside, you have to use it in a good spot, so that Captain Brus can sail his ship in and pick you up.”

Objectives: Ride to the platform where you boarded the rig and meet Captain Brus. Use the distress in the specified location on the way.

Rewards: 125 Jorvik Shillings, 250 XP

Reputation: 120 with Keepers of Aideen

Follow the arrows to escape the Dark Core headquarters. When you reach the open platform, use the distress signal, then continue down to where you boarded, and ride up onto the ship.

Speak to Alex when you get back to Moorland.

alex

You’re back! Tell me about your adventure!

Quest completed

______________

Get Alex Up to Speed

alex

What an adventure you’ve had! I am so impressed by your heroics and your and Summerblaze’s bravery. So Mr Sands and two of his Dark Riders live out there on the oil rig, which is the secret headquarters of Dark Core, and Justin made it clear that he didn’t want to come back. But maybe he had no choice… What else of value did we learn from this?

Objectives: Talk to Alex.

Rewards: 50 Jorvik Shillings, 100 XP

Reputation: 50 with Keepers of Aideen

Tell Alex everything you have learned.

alex

That’s true! We have confirmed that Dark Core is behind Lisa’s and Anne’s disappearances. We know that they want to prevent us from gathering four Soul Riders. We also know that they are trying to get four Dark Riders and they’re in a hurry. And Justin is one of their four now!

This is worth thinking about. The next step must be planned well…

Quest completed

______________

Called to a New Meeting

alex

We need to discuss this with Fripp and the other druids. I’ll get Linda. You can inform Elizabeth in Valedale so the meeting can get started as soon as possible.

Objectives: Inform Elizabeth in Valedale.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 30 XP

Reputation: 20 with Keepers of Aideen

Ride to Valedale and speak with Elizabeth.

elizabeth_sunbeam

I understand Rita. What horrible hardships you have experienced! What important information you have managed to find!

Quest completed

______________

Meeting in Dark Times

elizabeth_sunbeam

The druid meeting needs to happen immediately. Ride up the spiral shaped path, following the sun and get the to druid meeting through the portal. Exactly the same way as last time you went there.

Objectives: Ride along the spiral path up beyond the rune stones to get to the meeting…

Rewards: 25 Jorvik Shillings, 50 XP

Reputation: 50 with Keepers of Aideen

Go up behind Elizabeth’s house, and stay on the spiral path until you get to the center of the pattern. The portal will open up and you will be transported to the Secret Stonering.

fripp

Together again, the Druids and Soul Riders. In troubled times urgent meetings are required. We have just been informed of the news Rita has brought forwards from her breakneck adventures and we have a lot to carefully consider…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

faceless_druid

I think it was quite reckless to bring such a strong Light of Aideen to Scarecrow Hill. Anything could have happened! The Shadow Witches could have easily captured Rita and devoured her spirit in the shadow realm…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

elizabeth_sunbeam

You can be so dense! That Rita happens to have powers as strong as she does can only be seen as a blessing.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

fripp

Your bickering makes my ears hurt. She had no choice but to acquire the apple. We knew this and she succeeded. As desirable as the powers Rita has, they still need to be trained and controlled. We must prioritize her training.

Right now we have important matters to discuss. Let’s review the facts one more time. Alex, please summarize the details.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

Of course, Fripp. We know that Justin is in Dark Core’s secret headquarters that has been built on some kind of oil drilling platform southwest of Jorvik. Rita overheard a discussion between Mr Sands, two Dark Riders, and Justin. The conversation was about, among other things, that they had been fooled by Justin’s horse, that had been intended to become a Dark Rider horse, specifically for Justin.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

faceless_druid

So Justin is a Dark Rider now?

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

Yes, we think so. Maybe not a full-fledged member yet, but he is not there against his will. He did not want to be rescued by Rita but we don’t know if he felt pressured to say that only so Rita would not get caught… Rita heard rumors that Mr Sands has manipulated Justin’s memory, so we are really not sure that Justin has chosen freely to be a Dark Rider.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

faceless_druid

Okay. So all hope for Justin is not yet lost…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

Maybe not…

I’ll continue. Before Rita was forced to escape, head over heels, she heard them say that there must be four Dark Riders and that they are missing one to be able to “do what they need to do.” And what they need to do they need to do before the Soul Riders do it first…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

faceless_druid

But? What is it that Dark Core wants to do before we do it? We don’t know what it is.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

linda

Rita has already figured it out.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

Yes, Rita has come to the terrible conclusion that Dark Core is going to try and speed up Garnok somehow with their Dark Riders.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

faceless_druid

That can’t be possible!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

elizabeth_sunbeam

Unfortunately it may well be possible. Our Soul Riders’ primary duty is to fight against Garnok. You can be sure that Dark Riders, being the opposite in every way to our Soul Riders, must have some connection to Garnok.

Dark Core’s secret agenda has always been to strengthen Garnok and control the power to rule the world. We’ve known this for quite some time. There is nothing to indicate that this is no longer true.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

fripp

It is too likely for us to take a chance that it is no longer their plan. It definitely explains why Mr Sands is back again, as he is somewhat of an expert in the area… Hrmmm… He must have come up with something new to have come back to Jorvik again… Especially after what happened last time. -giggles-

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

linda

The lost Light Ceremony Book!

Mr Sands has found the lost Light Ceremony Book! The book that describes how the Soul Riders perform the Light Ceremony to prevent Garnok.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

Oh no! You must be right, Linda! Can it be that Mr Sands has located the book? Now they will run the ceremony backwards to make Garnok stronger!

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

fripp

If this is the case then he has all he needs to be able to tear down the fragile walls that hold Garnok out of the edge of our reality. Watch over us! The Light of Aideen needs to be with us. Everything can be lost if Mr Sands succeeds…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

faceless_druid

We don’t know that it is that bad yet…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

fripp

No, we have to hope that we are in some way wrong.

But my friends, be aware we cannot afford to do anything but prepare and act as though we are right.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

elizabeth_sunbeam

We must begin to act! We need to succeed in gathering our Soul Riders. We still don’t have any good leads on to locating Lisa and Anne. Information collected by Rita confirms that Dark Core really is behind their disappearances. Can we find more information?

We also really need to get started on training for Rita so she can be a real Soul Rider. Who knows when we are going to find Lisa and Anne… We need an alternative!

What more should we be doing right now? Is there anything else we can do to slow down Dark Core’s plans?

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

alex

I think that maybe we can plan another visit to Dark Core. They are a little slower as they are missing a Dark Rider and at least one horse short. Just think if we could manage to grab Justin? Or get a hold of the lost Light Ceremony Book that Mr Sands now has in his possession…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

elizabeth_sunbeam

It goes without saying that going back there is a huge risk to take. But it might be worth it to be able to get some more important information…

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

fripp

We’ll finish the meeting now so we can get back to some further planning. We know for now that they are delayed until they can get a new horse for Justin. Elizabeth, you are responsible for making sure that Rita gets as much training as possible before we decide on our next course of action.

We’ll see you again soon. Go in peace, druids and Soul Riders.

Quest completed

______________

When We Are Ready…

elizabeth_sunbeam

There was a lot to discuss. All of it important. We know a lot more now than we did before… Thanks to you. And we know we need to hurry… Time is short and the darkness threatens us all in the form of Garnok. But our next move needs to be planned well.

We will take the next step when we are ready for it. Now we need to plan and prepare so our next step produces the result we want. One wrong move and Dark Core might well succeed with their evil plan, if things are going as we expect.

You need to increase your reputation with Aideen’s Sun Circle to at least Liked. If you haven’t already achieved the level of Liked with Aideen’s Sun Circle, it might take weeks to gain their trust and attain that level… But believe me, it is worth it! Do you understand?

Objectives: Listen to Elizabeth.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Elizabeth will tell you what to do next.

elizabeth_sunbeam

If you are not already initiated in the Sun Circle, I think that is high time that you started to take lessons from me and continue with your training every day until you are ready…

If you are already read then we’ll just have to wait for further instructions from the council.

Quest completed

______________

Druid Training

elizabeth_sunbeam

Now we are going to take this opportunity to give you more druid training. I’m pretty sure by now you are past the beginner stage. You’ve proved that to us by now. So, I think it might be time to give you some more difficult assignments.

I am going to initiate you into the secrets of the druids. Are you certain you want to join us and become a Soul Rider for the Keepers of Aideen?

Are you absolutely certain that you want to follow the path of the Keepers of Aideen?

Objectives: Accept if you want to follow the secret path of the Keepers of Aideen.

Rewards: 20 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 10 with The Sun Circle

Your mission, should you choose to accept….

elizabeth_sunbeam

Excellent. Everything I’m going to tell you now is a secret that you need to keep to yourself and not speak about it in front of anyone. As you know, there are unfriendly ears out there who do not wish us well…

In the Keepers of Aideen there are several specialties you can learn about.

We call these “circles.” I am responsible for the Sun Circle. I’ll teach you all I can, but believe it or not, it will take some time. That being said, you are going to learn amazing new things and I’ll help you with your exciting future.

Quest completed

Return to Elizabeth tomorrow.

Let’s go work on another day of blacksmithing with Conrad.

The Fifth Day of Blacksmithing

conrad_marsdeen

Rita, this is our fifth day of working on these shoes. Listen closely to my instructions. Let’s get started!

Objectives: Use the tongs and the hammer to carry out the tasks Conrad gives you. Be careful and listen closely!

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 5 XP

Reputation: 5 with Keepers of Aideen

Follow Conrad’s instructions as usual. Speak with him when you are done.

conrad_marsdeen

There we go… We are getting close to being done. Only two more days and the horseshoes will be done! Tomorrow we can continue to work with them. Tomorrow we’ll add even more power to the horseshoes… And for that we need more lapis lazuli.

Listen up Rita. To strengthen the power and focus the energy of the horseshoes, we need lapis lazuli. There is lapis lazuli to collect at Nilmer’s Highlands where you have already been. Collect four more chucks of lapis lazuli and bring them back here. Here is the pickaxe you need here.

Objectives: Chip off four good pieces of lazpis lazuli from Nilmer’s Highlands and bring the to Conrad.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 5 XP

Reputation: 5 with Keepers of Aideen

I’m pretty sure lapis lazuli is a gemstone and not a metal, but let’s just go with it…

Ride up to Nilmer’s Highlands, and where the race track goes off from the road, the lapis is along the hill on that trail. The fourth piece, is farther along the trail, down by the pine trees. When you have the four pieces, return to Conrad.

conrad_marsdeen

Those are some great pieces of lapis lazuli! They are going to work perfectly for our work with your horseshoes.

Quest completed

Return to Conrad tomorrow.

Ride to Firgrove and show Mrs Hill the wedding rings you found.

A Special Place

mrs_hill

You found our rings. It feels like waking up from a dream.

Look at me… I am no longer flesh and blood… I am transparent! I’m ready to accept that I am dead… I have to be. I am a ghost.

What was that? You know where my husband is? He doesn’t  know the fate he met a long time ago on that horrible day? I need to go see him. It is the only thing that will give me peace and I’m sure it is the same for him.

I know what we should do. Take our rings and place them on my husband’s grave… Or as I should really say OUR grave… Which I remember now. You should be able to find it. The grave lies a little south of an apple grove, by a little cape where you can see Fort Pinta on the other side of the water. The grave is in the shade of a big old tree.

Objectives: Put the rings on the grave. Our grave lies to the south of the apple grove, by a little hill where you can see Fort Pinta and the official castle on the other side of the castle.

Rewards: 5 Jorvik Shillings, 10 XP

Ride along the Fire Trail, past Applegrove. There will be a large hill between the road and the water. The graves are hidden in some foliage on the back side of the hill.

With the rings placed on our graves I could find my way here, and so will my husband. I know it must sound weird, but the rings acted like a compass out of the mist for me.

As Stubborn as a Ghost

mrs_hill

You think it might be a problem to get my husband here? That sounds just like him… He has always been very stubborn.

Tell him to meet me at our special place. He will understand what I mean. It was where he proposed to me and it was where we always went for special occasions. When my husband died in that tragic accident, I had him buried here. We always said we wanted to be buried together here when the time came.

Go and give it your best try now. I hope we see you again soon.

Objectives: Tell Mr Hill to go to the couple’s secret meeting place; the hill south of Applegrove.

Rewards: 5 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Ride back to Nilmer’s Highland and speak with Mr Hill.

mr_hill

She said she wants to meet at our special place? I never thought of that. I’m sure she is there. All this waiting is finally over. I’m coming my love! I just need to put on something nice to meet her in…

Rest in Peace

mr_hill

A gravestone, in the place where I once proposed to my wife. What does it say?

“Here lies Mr and Mrs Hill in the shade of the tree where they first met.”

This is our gravestone. My darling wife… Now I understand. Rita, you have done us a huge kindness. I am sorry I resisted but I’m sure you can understand now. Now we can be together forever, precisely how it should be.

I could never thank you enough for what you have done. My wife says that in the attic of our house, among her old things, there is something she would like you to have.

Farewell!

Objectives: Look in the attic of Mr Hill’s house in Nilmer’s Highland for something Mrs Hill wanted you to have.

Rewards: 50 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP, Mrs Hill’s Competition Saddle

Ride back to Nilmer’s Highland and check out the attic of the house.

Look for Clues in History

linda

Help me read these books. I think there might be some important details here.

Objectives: Read the books and see if you can find what we are looking for…

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Read through all of the books set out on the table for you. I have underlined the important clues.

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

“The year of our Lord, 1218, October

It was a foggy and cold winter morning. Jon Jarl’s ships have been in dire straits for weeks. There is not enough food or fresh water left on board. The food stores were next to completely empty and the crew near death but they did not want to let their Jarl down.

Jon was convinced that they would find an undiscovered land out here in the ocean. God has shown hi a vision of the land and those visions were coming more often as time went by. Was Jon crazy? Or would he prove once and for all he was right? The crew was loyal and true and would follow him anywhere.

In the same moment, a crewman was thinking of jumping overboard to end his starvation, something happened. The fog opened before the ship to reveal rising cliffs above the waters.

Land ho! Land ho! We’ve spotted land!

It turned out Jon was right. Again. The first ship unfortunately never found out, as the large rocks that would later be called Tower Cliffs, tore out the bottom of the ship. All hands aboard were lost.

Jarl’s ship and the rest of the group turned away when they saw the fate of the first ship and they instead landed at a calmer beach down the coast a long way south of the Tower Cliffs.

There Jon first put his armored foot on the shore and climbed up a fifty-foot cliff, which would later be the site of their first fort, and shouted into the night: I a Jon Jarl, son of Jor! This land is now my land an will be called Jorvik and I will defend it with my life as long as I live and with my soul when I am dead!

Thunder boomed down from the mountains. If Jon and his crew had not been so relieved at their landing, they might not have noticed the sound was not thunder, but a huge herd of wild horses frightened by his shouts. Their new land would be richer than they ever would have imagined”

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

“Out of Nic Stoneground’s Travel Diary, 1989, vol.12:

I was very impressed by the giant statue that has been erected here. The old fort is watched over by the huge statue of the former Governor Gareth. With only a cannonball and a boat hook he defended Jorvik against the continental pirates. Without his bravery, Jorvik would have been lost. This is the reason for the statue.

quest-diary_drawing

The location was a natural choice, when Jon Jarl landed in 1218 and built Jorvik’s first fort. Governor Gareth modernized the old fort in the 1600s using the most up-to-date defense construction techniques.

Gareth was proud of the fact that his ancestors had traveled with Columbus on his first transatlantic voyage in 1492 and therefore named the fort after the famous sister ship of the Santa Maria.

During the extensive renovations it is said that Gareth found a number of very interesting artifacts in the walls of the old fort. It is also legend that Gareth still watches over a very unique artifact himself from beyond the grave. The artifact apparently has something to do with the sun.

Some day I will find the time to investigate these stories more thoroughly… But today I have an exciting church ruin to visit. But this was fascinating I have to say.”

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

“The funeral of Jon Jarl was held on a bleak autumn day in the year 1263. During the last forty-five years since Jon had ruled Jorvik, and had never left since the day he first claimed the island as his own. He fought hard for many years but was viewed as a just and popular ruler who tried hard to unite the many small kingdoms that emerged on the island. Anyone who stood against Jon would face a very dangerous enemy.

Well, everyone knows of his exploits and the history books explain it well. The funeral was a huge even with many guests representing nearly all the clans of Jorvik. One clan in particular was the Silfer Clan of Jon’s descendants who still make their home in Silverglade today. Even the local druids attended who had a good relationship with Jon Jarl.

The funeral lasted three days and was followed by a month of official mourning and peace on Jorvik.

The actual burial was in a crypt not far from the Tower Cliffs where the first of his ships had sunk when he had discovered Jorvik. From there he could eternally watch over his mighty castle to the south.

The great crypt consisted of several rooms, the portal to each room was sealed with a magical rune stone that could only be opened with a special magical key. A Sun Key, a Moon Key, a Lightning Key, and a Star Key. These magical druid seals have been forgotten with the passage of time.”

-.-.-.-.-.-.-

When you are done reading the books, speak with Linda.

linda

I don’t get it. Do you? If you think you know what we are looking for, have a look and see if you can find it.

Quest completed

All of the clues point to the Sun Key being located at the statue in Fort Pinta. Let’s go there and see what we can find.

The Sun Key

self

“You push hard on the nameplate and with a click it opens and reveals a secret compartment… With something inside…”

Objectives: Take the object from the hidden compartment and see if it can be used to open the blocked opening in Jarl’s Crypt.

Rewards: 20 Jorvik Shillings, 65 XP

Reputation: 20 with Keepers of Aideen

Go into Jarl’s Crypt, north of Fort Pinta, and try to use the Sun Key on the first door. When you open the door, go into the next room of the crypt. Are you afraid of ghosts?

self

“A blue light appears in the mysterious well of the crypt. You feel the presence of something or someone here in the crypt…”

______________

Jon Jarl’s Ghost

jon_jarl_ghost

I am Jon Jarl, son of Jor and forever guardian of Jorvik and its protectors from beyond the grave! Who is it that tries to open the first portal to my final resting place?

Objectives: Tell Jon Jarl who you are.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

I come in peace!

jon_jarl_ghost

Rita? Hmmm… I’ve never heard of you… But I guess many years have passed since I began my eternal rest. I may help you but first you must convince me of who you really are what you truly stand for.

Quest completed

______________

Jarl’s Riddles

jon_jarl_ghost

So you want the fragment of Aideen’s Light? I can give it to you if you convince me you are worth and have your heart in the right place. If I am satisfied with your answers I will give you a true fragment of Aideen’s Light.

Objectives: Answer Jon Jarl’s questions.

Rewards: 20 Jorvik Shillings, 35 XP

Reputation: 30 with Keepers of Aideen

Pass Jarl’s test to get the fragment of Aideen’s Light.

jon_jarl_ghost

Honorable Rita, I understand now that you are a true supporter of the Keepers of Aideen.

Quest completed

______________

Fragment of Aideen’s Light

jon_jarl_ghost

I will meet you and give you the fragment as you act in the name of the druids. Know that the power of the fragment has not been activated, but the druids know what needs to be done.

I have rested for nearly eight hundred years and until now I have not awoken from my final peace.  I don’t feel I will participate in this final battle to protect Jorvik on the dangerous day. Aideen hasn’t yet called for me.

Farewell Rita. I return now to my final rest until the moment I am called. Give Fripp my regards!

Objectives: Ride with the fragment to Elizabeth, tell her what happened, and ask her how to activate the fragment.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

Reputation: 25 with Keepers of Aideen

Take the fragment to Valedale, and speak with Elizabeth.

elizabeth_sunbeam

What an adventure you have been on! You spoke with Jon Jarl’s ghost! And you got the fragment. I had heard the stories but never imagined they were true! Imagine that Jon Jarl remains our protector even after his death! Good to know if things go really bad at any point…

But now we need to figure out how to activate the fragment so you can use it.

Quest completed

______________

The Lifegiving Light of the Sun

elizabeth_sunbeam

I think you can charge and activate this fragment. After all, you have proven that you have special skills… Borrow my rune staff, ride up to the rune stones in the hills by my house and put the fragment in front of the sun stone and then charge it by activating the stone with the rod.

Come back to me when you’re done. I’m sure it will work. The sun’s life giving light will give the fragment the properties we need now.

Objectives: Place the fragment by the sun’s rune stone and activate it with the rune staff.

Rewards: 12 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP, Fragment of Aideen’s Light

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Ride up behind Elizabeth’s house, and go to the rune stone with the sun pattern on it. Place the fragment on the ground in front of the stone, the use the staff to activate the fragment. When you are done, take both back down to Elizabeth.

elizabeth_sunbeam

You see, Rita! Aideen’s mystical powers are obviously flowing strong inside you. The fragment seems to be charged and ready to go…

Quest completed

______________

Let the Light Flow

elizabeth_sunbeam

Hmm, before you head off and expose yourself to danger in Scarecrow Hill, I think you should test that it works first. Do a test here and show me, so we can see that it works. I will see how powerful the light is and can determine whether it is good enough.

Objectives: To activate the fragment, click the button above your mini map.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

-Pulls out shades- Click the button on the side of your screen, above your mini map, to activate the fragment.

elizabeth_sunbeam

Wow, it was so bright! Very strong, but a light that shines that bright burns out much faster. Unfortunately, I don’t think it will last very long, but it will be effective, I promise. Its side effects may be dangerous though…

Quest completed

______________

Protected by the Light

elizabeth_sunbeam

Well, Rita. All that remains is to hope that the light will protect you against the magic that chained the scarecrows to the borderlands between our world and the unreal.

The bad news is that the charged fragment will only last for a minute or so, I think. So you can’t activate it until you are at the gate to Scarecrow Hill. But it should be enough time to get up to the tree on top of the hill and take the apple. If there is one…

But be on your guard. When forces like these are unleashed, they can unfortunately attract vicious shadow figures. No smoke without fire. No light without shadow. The stronger the light, the sharper the shadow. We better you’re lucky and avoid that… Be careful.

Good luck now! Don’t forget to activate the fragment when you’re at the gate to Scarecrow Hill! If you get hold of the apple, ride to Alex who is still waiting for you at the Northern Iron Gate.

Objectives: Activate the fragment when you are Scarecrow Hill gate. The button is disabled until you’re there. Find a golden apple at the top of the hill.

Rewards: 25 Jorvik Shillings, 35 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Go to Scarecrow Hill, and once you are at the gates, you will be prompted to activate the fragment. Once activated, run to the top of the hill, obliterating any magic scarecrows along the way. When you get to the top, grab the golden apple from the tree.

self

“You found the golden apple! At the same time, the power of the fragment just ran out. You better pick the apple and hurry out of here and ride to Alex at the Northern Iron Gate.”

Quest completed

______________

Escape from Scarecrow Hill

self

“You pick the apple! At the same time, something strange happens… What’s that?! A group of flying shadow witches show up, probably sent to stop you! They have materialized in the shadow of the strong light of the fragment. They intend to take the apple from you.

Ride away from them and do not stop until you reach Alex at the Northern Iron Gate. Don’t let them catch you with their magical sleep bombs!”

Objectives: Escape the shadow witches and don’t get hit by the sleep bombs! Bring the apple to Alex at the Northern Iron Gate when you get away from them.

Rewards: 20 Jorvik Shillings, 55 XP

Reputation: 20 with Keepers of Aideen

This quest is hard. Have patience, as it will probably take you a couple of tries to complete it.

Watch out for the marks on the ground, indicating where the sleep bombs will land. Adjust your speed to run past the circles before the bombs hit, or slow to let the bomb hit before moving through. Once you get some distance from Scarecrow Hill, the witches will stop pursuing you and you can continue running to the North Iron Gate. Speak with Alex there.

alex

Rita! Summerblaze! You look upset! What happened? And what’s that? A golden apple! You and your wonderful Summerblaze are truly heroes!

Quest completed

______________

The Apple and the Witch

alex

What a terrible story with the witches who were chasing you. Lucky that you got away, that could have ended very badly. When such immense power like Aideen’s Light is released, sharp shadows are cast into the magical unreality. I think the shadow witches materialized in the shadow of the holy light – as a kind of counterweight… Scary.

But at least we have the apple! Now we have to see if the legend is correct and that evil witches can’t resist the apple if they’re offered it by a pure soul. Go ahead Rita, try making the witch Pi nice again so she can tell us what we want to know.

Objectives: Ride to Pi and give her the golden apple.

Rewards: 30 Jorvik Shillings, 55 XP

Reputation: 20 with Keepers of Aideen

Go past the North Iron Gate and into the witch’s swamp. You can find her still by her house to offer her the golden apple.

witch_pi

You again! Aren’t you tired of being a frog? Okay… Then I’ll enchant you again, but this time you’ll remain a frog forever so you can hop around in my swamp croaking and signing for me in the evenings.

Abracadabra…

Huh? What? You’ve got goodies?

But what’s this? An apple? Oh no! The golden apple! The one I can’t eat! But it looks so delicious… Don’t eat! But, ooohh, it looks sooo good!

It’s probably so very good.

I have to… I… Can’t! I can’t resist it…

…No! No, Pi! Nah, I can not resist it any longer…

Boohoo!

Yum!

Quest completed

______________

The Witch is Free

nice_pi

Oh…

Thank you for giving me the apple and made me good again! It can’t have been easy. I did everything I could stop anyone from picking the apple. But what misery I have done during my time as a wicked witch! And Klaus, my poor husband! He must have missed me.

Now there is much to do to restore order… You say that there’s one thing I can tell you that will help make things right again? Okay, ask away. Giving you answers is the least I can do.

Objectives: Ask Pi about Justin’s horse and what she knows.

Rewards: 20 Jorvik Shillings, 45 XP

Reputation: 20 with Keepers of Aideen

Get the answers you need from Pi.

nice_pi

So you’re wondering what happened to Justin’s horse and where it would go after? Well… I was going to make Justin’s horse into a Dark Rider horse. I made three such horses for Dark Core while I was a witch and this would’ve been the fourth. I was almost done, but I think I can save this poor creature from ruin…

Anyway, I would make sure that the converted horse would be delivered to the docks at Moorland’s south shore for transport to Dark Core’s headquarters, which is located on a secret oil rig somewhere out at sea.

Hm, what day is it? Okay, I would deliver the horse tomorrow, that’s right. To the dock behind Moorland Stables. That’s what was agreed.

Quest completed

______________

A Brave Plan

nice_pi

I’m so sorry for everything I’ve done and now I’ll begin the work of making things right again. I should start by helping Justin’s horse back to its normal self again. Now take care, Rita. I hope my information was helpful.

Ride to your friend Alex so you can make the necessary plans.

Thanks again for freeing me from the wicked witchcraft.

Objectives: Plan with Alex.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 30 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Ride back out of the swamp and meet Alex by the North Iron Gate.

alex

Wow, it worked?! She was willing to talk now?

So the plan was to deliver the new horse to a transport at Moorland’s south shore tomorrow. Probably the same dock where we saw Justin and Sabine disappear on one of Dark Core’s barges…

You or I have to get there and pretend to be the supplier of the distorted Dark Horse tomorrow and make sure to board the transport. Once we’re on the oil platform we can hopefully find out what happened to Justin and perhaps save him! Do you dare accept such a dangerous mission? Or should I and Tin-Can do it?

Quest completed

______________

Secure the Escape Route

alex

You accept the mission? You’re really brave and I don’t doubt your ability. You and Summerblaze have truly shown that you’re a bold and clever team.

It’s important that you have a safe escape route. Alone at sea on a secret oil rig that nobody knows the location of makes you quite helpless…

You know a captain who owes you a favor? Smart. Talk to him, maybe he can follow the barge from a distance and come to your rescue or take you away from there if needed. Talk to your friend Captain Brus.

I’ll do some errands meanwhile and rest up a bit. I’ll see you later at the small dock on Moorland’s south shore, just behind the stable. I’ll hide there and keep watch.

What did you say, termites? Yes, let’s hope the captain fixed the problems with the termites in the mast…

Objectives: Ask Captain Brus to help with the escape route.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 30 XP

Ride down to Cape West Fishing Village and speak with Captain Brus at his place along Longbridge.

captain_brus

Arrrh! If I’m ready to sail? Well, Rita, I’ve never been more ready than now. I got rid of the darn termites. They went biting, so to speak. The mast contains so many metal parts that they got tooth ace and gave up their destructive chewing.

Quest completed

______________

A Final Word with Alex

captain_brus

If I can help a girl in need? By all the mermaids of the sea, of course I’ll help you! I owe you and I can never say no to an adventure at sea!

I’ll follow you when the transport takes you to the secret oil rig. Here, take this distress flair. Fire it when you want me to pick you up or if you need help. I’ll pick you up at the same place where I see you board the rig.

Trust me!

Under cover of the thick backs of the morning fog, I’ll secretly hide along the southern coast of Moorland. You won’t see us, but I promise that we’ll be out there. With me at the help, you can sneak up on anyone!

Now, don’t fire your distress flare unnecessarily before it’s time…

See you tomorrow! Good luck with your mission! Now ride to your friend and make up the final details of your plan. And remember, even though you won’t see my ship, I’ll be out there, ready to rescue you.

Objectives: Make up the final details of the plan with Alex who now scouts the dock behind Moorland Stables.

Rewards: 12 Jorvik Shillings, 30 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Ride to Moorland, and meet with Alex. She’s standing in view of the beach, behind the stables, near Mrs Holdsworth’s house.

alex

Shhh… Have you seen, Rita, there’s already a creepy Dark Core guy there at the dock. He seems to be waiting for something. But… You could say that your friend Captain Brus is anything but discreet… He just arrived with lots of flare, filling up the whole bay with his ship!

I’ll stay here and ensure that you get on your way properly so I can intervene if something unexpected happens. I’ll stay here until you get back from your mission. Hope you can save Justin from his captivity! Don’t be afraid. You have Captain Brus and Summerblaze to help you!

See you tomorrow. Prepare for your adventure, be sure that you both are rested and your horse feels great.

Quest completed

Speak with the Dark Core guard tomorrow.

Let’s go work on our horseshoes again with Conrad.

Fourth Day of Blacksmithing

conrad_marsdeen

Follow my instructions carefully. Here are my tongs and hammer. Get ready!

Objectives: Use the tongs and the hammer to carry out the tasks Conrad gives you. Be careful and listen closely!

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 5 XP

Reputation: 5 with Keepers of Aideen

You know the drill. Speak with Conrad when you are done with your work.

conrad_marsdeen

It is shaping up well. Now we need the iron to rest overnight. We can continue work tomorrow.

Hmm… Seems like the water bucket is nearly empty.

Quest completed

______________

More Source Water!

conrad_marsdeen

The water is running out quicker than I would have imagined. It is steaming off quickly when we are cooling the red-hot horseshoes. That shows that the new shoes are really full of energy… But without water, we can’t continue our work. Can you go back to the source of the Silversong River and collect more water? Here, take my bucket with you and use it.

Objectives: Fill Conrad’s bucket at the source of the Silversong River in Valedale. Give the water to Conrad.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 5 XP

Reputation: 5 with Keepers of Aideen

Go to Valedale and collect the water from the waterfall, then return to Conrad.

conrad_marsdeen

Great! Now we have enough water to finish our work forging your new horseshoes!

Quest completed

Return to Conrad tomorrow.

Now let’s go see if the Council Man has found anything interesting about our ghost friend.

The Council Man Might Know

council_man

I went down into the archives and dug around a bit. I found the report on the accident. It turns out the bridge wasn’t built up to proper standards at all! G.E.D., the company who built the bridge, used old wood and substandard concrete to save money. It was a long time ago, and now G.E.D. is viewed as a respectable company… At least they seem to think so.

His wife, Mrs Hill, moved to Firgrove after the accident, according to the report. If you want to know more about her, you should speak to my colleague, the council man in Firgrove.

Objectives: Speak with the council man in Firgrove Village.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 30 XP

Ride to Firgrove and speak with Mr Franklin. Maybe he knows more.

mr_franklin

Mrs Hill? Yes, she lived here. I’m sorry to say it but she died many years ago. Was she a relative of yours?

Quest completed

______________

Another Ghost?

mr_franklin

Aha, not a relative then. Unfortunately, Mrs Hill has been dead for a long time now and her house has been torn down. So I’m not really sure what I can do to help you. I remember her quite well. She was an excellent dressage rider. It was always a bit sad to see her as she was heartbroken and never really recovered from her husband’s accident. The only time she really perked up was wen she would ride the competition track outside the village. She said it reminded her of her lost love.

I’ve heard the other villagers here say that they have seen her up there, along the track outside the village, after she died… But I don’t really believe it. You can ride around up there and have a look for yourself but I wouldn’t expect anything.

Objectives: Look for Mrs Hill outside Firgrove Village along the riding trail.

Rewards: 5 Jorvik Shillings, 10 XP

Mrs Hill can be found along the hard forest track. Go down to where Minka is, then follow the trail up onto the bridge with the two breaks in it. Mrs Hill is standing at the end of the bridge (or follow the trail in reverse, and she’s off the trail before the bridge).

Rewards: 5 Jorvik Shillings, 10 XP

mr_hill

My wife is in Firgrove? Balderdash!

Quest completed

Ask the Ghost

mr_hill

My wife lives in Firgrove? What are you talking about? She lives here with me. If you don’t believe me, go in and look in my attic for yourself. All her pictures, books, and other things are up there like they always have been.

Objectives: Look in the house for anything that might convince Mr Hill that his wife doesn’t live there anymore.

Rewards: 5 Jorvik Shillings, 10 XP

Dismount your horse to go into the attic. Search through the boxes there, then return to Mr Hill when you have found something.

mr_hill

My goodness… That is my wife’s wedding ring! She never takes that off… What is going on?

Quest completed

______________

Meaningful Ring

mr_hill

How can her ring be here? She never, ever takes it off… I don’t understand… Is someone playing a joke on me? It doesn’t really matter, she needs to get her ring back.

My poor wife, she must be really upset. Take the ring… Find her for me please. I will be eternally in your debt.

“He seems really upset about her ring… Maybe I shouldn’t mention I found his ring too…”

Objectives: Take the rings to Mrs Hill.

Linda has finished with her research in the Library.

Time Consuming Research

linda

I’ve been reading all night. There was so much to read… Yawn… Zzzz…

Objectives: Speak with Linda.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Sounds like me studying for finals…

linda

Woo… Oops, excuse me… I must have fallen asleep again. Yawn… I’m sure you are wondering if I found anything we can use? I think I have found a lead at any rate.

Quest completed

______________

The Legend of The Golden Apple

linda

This is what I have discovered:

The legend says there is a type of Golden Apple that has magical properties that would affect an evil witch. Special trees produce these apples and they only grow one apple each year. Of course while the legend says that the apple would turn a cruel witch kind again, it is also a powerful weapon against the witches who have been trying to destroy the trees for years. At any rate, even if we get it… How are we going to get her to eat it?

Objectives: Listen to Linda.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Linda will tell you more about these golden apples.

linda

Aha. There is another story that says the more cruel that a witch gets, the harder it is for her to resist the chance to eat the Golden Apple when it is offered to her. Something about being truly cruel builds an irresistible appetite for the apple. Some think that the apple merely releases the witch’s inner desire to do good after years of evil work. A cruel witch will continue to do evil works for years and will not wish to be freed but they also can’t withstand the Golden Apple when it is offered by a pure soul with good intentions.

Quest completed

______________

Where Do We Find the Golden Apples?

linda

Good question. All the known Golden Apple trees have been destroyed by witches. But I think we might know where on is that may have survived.

Aha, you picked a golden apple in Applegrove recently? I’m sorry, but I don’t think that is the right kind of apple. These are golden apples and there are Golden Apples… There are different kinds.

But listen here! Every year there is a traditional competition around Scarecrow Cliffs in Goldenhills Valley. The competition is to race out and pick the first yearly apple from the old tree on Scarecrow Hill and bring it back to the finish.

A few years back Alex took part in the race under some strange circumstances. Since that race the whole area has been closed and the race hasn’t been run again. I think we should speak with Alex about this.

Can you give me a ride to her?

Objectives: Listen to Linda.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Tell Linda that you will give her a ride to where Alex is.

linda

Great. Just tell me when you are ready to take me to Alex, who is probably still watching the North Gate. We’ll see you outside!

Quest completed

______________

Tell Alex About the Golden Apple

linda

Ready to give me a ride to Alex by the gate? Excellent. Let’s go!

Objectives: Give Linda a ride to Alex at the Northern Gate

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Ride up to Shadow Hills and meet Alex by the North Iron Gate.

alex

Hey Rita and Linda! Fun to see you again, I was beginning to think you had forgotten all about me!

You’ve found out that a Golden Apple can transform the witch? Hmm… Sounds strange. There is definitely a Golden Apple at Scarecrow Hill. I was there and picked one during the competition back when they used to have them. But now Scarecrow Hill is closed and I think it has been for years now.

Quest completed

______________

Unlock the Scarecrow Hill Gate?

alex

Do you think the Key to the City opens the gate to Scarecrow Hill? It’s not that unlikely. I still have the key so take it with you and give it a try. I’ll stay and keep watch over the gate here so you can ride over and look.

Objectives: Ride over to the Scarecrow Hill and try and unlock the gate with the Key to the City.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Ride to Scarecrow Hill and try the key, then speak with Linda.

linda

Rita, bad luck. The key won’t work with the gate. What should we do now?

Quest completed

______________

The Key Doesn’t Fit

linda

So typical that the key doesn’t work. Ride to Mayor Klaus and ask him what the problem might be. He should know why this key won’t open this stupid gate like it should.

I’ll wait here while we figure out how to open the gate.

Objectives: Speak with Klaus.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Ride to Cape West Fishing Village and speak with Mayor Klaus.

mayor_klaus

Thank you for the key! I hope it worked on the North Gate.

What? You couldn’t use it to open the gate to Scarecrow Hill? Wait… That is as it should be. I locked it years ago and actually threw away the key…

Quest completed

______________

Klaus Tells You About Scarecrow Hill

mayor_klaus

Why did I lock the gate and throw away the key? Well… Scarecrow Hill used to be a safe and beautiful place and we used to have a fantastic race there. But a few years ago, the scarecrows came to life… Which was a bit more than frightening. So the scarecrows wouldn’t get out, I locked the door with a different key so nobody could get in… And threw away the key to make sue it would stay shut. It was perhaps a little stupid now that I think about it but I was afraid and perhaps wasn’t thinking very clearly at the time.

Hmmm… You think it might have been my wife Pi who brought the scarecrows to life to prevent people from getting to the magic apple? Interesting idea… I hadn’t thought of that.

Objectives: Speak with Klaus.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

Klaus will tell you more about the locked gate.

mayor_klaus

Oh well. Done is done. You will need to find another way to open that gate without the right key. I’m sorry, but when something that scary happens you don’t always do the right thing.

Quest completed

______________

Can a Strong Smuggler Break Open a Lock?

mayor_klaus

The key was thrown off the bridge and it is very, very deep there so we won’t be getting that key back. I don’t really have a good idea of how else we are going to get into Scarecrow Hill.

Maybe you know someone who might be able to open a lock like this?

What do I know. Whoa… You look like you just got an idea… Do you have someone in mind?

Objectives: Speak with Smuggler Bob in the Smuggler’s Cave. Maybe he can open the lock…

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Ride through Labyrinth Shore to get to the smugglers.

smuggler_bob

Aha… Trouble on four legs! You again. I think we might be seeing each other a little too often. You do remember we are secret and don’t really want to be as famous as you. Aha… You need our help? Again? With a lock?

Quest completed

______________

Lock Emergency

smuggler_bob

So you want help to break into Scarecrow Hill? You have the Mayor’s permission? Okay… But this is going to be the last time we help you as after that we expect you to leave us alone. Okay?

Speak with my associate Rob her, he has some bolt cutters he can lend you. Make sure you bring those back when you are done with them.

Objectives: Speak with Rob, Bob’s smuggler buddy.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Ask Rob if you can borrow his bolt cutters.

smuggler_rob

Hmm. I’m Rob. You borrow bolt cutters? Rob says it okay.

Quest completed

______________

Bolt Cutters Open Almost Everything

smuggler_rob

Okay. Here are the bolt cutters. You make sure you bring those back when you are done with them. You understand?

Objectives: Cut off the lock from the gate to Scarecrow Hill with the bolt cutters.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Ride back to Scarecrow Hill and dismount your horse to use the bolt cutters.

self

“You strain with the effort but you manage to cut the lock off the gate…”

Quest completed

______________

Rob’s Bolt Cutters

self

“Better return the bolt cutters as soon as possible… That Rob guy was weird and not the kind of guy you want to irritate. Better do it before going into Scarecrow Hill.”

Objectives: Return the bolt cutters to Rob before you explore Scarecrow Hill.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Ride back to Rob in the Smuggler’s Cave to return his bolt cutters.

smuggler_rob

Me Rob! You… horse! Bolt cutters mine! No scratch. Good. Rob happy. You leave now.

Quest completed

Ride back up to Scarecrow Hill and speak with Linda.

Explore Scarecrow Hill

linda

Do you know what Rita? Those living scarecrows in there are really scary. Are you sure you can get past them and up to the tree? If you manage it, don’t forget to get that golden apple. If there is one…

Objectives: Try to get the Golden Apple past the scarecrows in Scarecrow Hill.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Ride through the gate and explore. Watch out for their lazerbeam eyes!

linda

Okay Rita, it looks like trying to ride past the scarecrows isn’t going to work. Whatever you do they seem to be able to scare you or your horse away.

Quest completed

______________

Find Out More About the Scarecrows

linda

Evil, living scarecrows. Wow… What are we going to do now? It will be hard to find out about the scarecrows so I think we need to speak with Elizabeth. This is powerful magic we are talking about so we’ll save time going to her first.

I’m afraid we are not going to find the answers we need for this problem in books… But I’ll try. Give me a ride to the library at the Winery and I’ll get off there and try to find something helpful in the books. Then you can ride to Elizabeth and ask her about our problem.

Objectives: Give Linda a lift to the main building of the Winery. Then you can ride to talk to Elizabeth in Valedale.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Drop Linda off at the Winery, then go visit Elizabeth in Valedale.

elizabeth_sunbeam

Living, people-hating scarecrows… You are wondering how you can get past them without scaring you out of the hills?

Quest completed

______________

How to Get Past the Scarecrows

elizabeth_sunbeam

It is powerful magic that has brought the scarecrows to life and it seems that they are still under control of their maker. I’m certain it is Pi who has created them to prevent people from getting anywhere near the Golden Apple… The apple we hope is growing on the windblown top of Scarecrow Hill’s highest point.

I know that with powerful magic, the spell controlling the scarecrows could be broken… But we haven’t seen power like that since we had a fragment of Aideen’s Light a long time ago. I should tell you about that.

Objectives: Speak with Elizabeth.

Reward: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Elizabeth will tell you more about Aideen’s Light fragment.

elizabeth_sunbeam

When Aideen first stepped onto the island of Jorvik, right after the creation of the island, Aideen had a strong light in her hand which brought life and light to this dead stone island. The light was strong magic filled with goodness and warmth that we’ve never seen again. But in later years we found a fragment of that light which was used for many good deeds, but lost along the way deep in history.

I’m sure even a tiny piece of that light would certainly be enough to break the magic of the evil scarecrows.

Quest completed

______________

Is There a Fragment in Jarl’s Crypt?

elizabeth_sunbeam

They say that Jon Jarl was buried with a fragment of the light in his crypt. It is one of the few stories I know about the light that might actually be true. Jon Jarl was the first to come to the island a long time ago, some time in the twelfth century, and it was him that named the island Jorvik.

The problem is Jarl’s Crypt is sealed and I have no idea how we can open it. I know Rita, you have been there and collected Ghost Ore, but that was just the first chamber you were in. According to the stories, the crypt is made of more rooms… Or at least that is what they say.

But maybe the history books can help you with this. Chat with Linda, you already dropped her off at the library, and see if you can find anything in the history books that might help. Maybe something there will help us open Jarl’s Crypt.

Objectives: Ride to the Winery library and tell Lind what you have found out.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Back to the Winery we go!

linda

I haven’t found anything yet… But you have? Great!

So if I understand what you are telling me: A fragment of Aideen’s Light can break the spell that is animating the scarecrows, and that the stories say that a fragment is buried with Jarl in his crypt… But we need to figure out how to get into the crypt? Okay… Not easy. I’m sure there is something in the history books about his funeral.

Quest completed

______________

Books About Jon Jarl

linda

I know there are three books we are going to want to look at. Nic Stoneground’s Travel Diary always has great information about things here on Jorvik and I think we need volume twelve. Then we need a history book about Jarl’s funeral, and maybe a book about his life here on Jorvik. Help me find the books about our local hero Jon Jarl. They are here in the library.

Objectives: Find the three books about Jon Jarl.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 15 XP

Reputation: 10 with Keepers of Aideen

Pick up the books around the library and take them to Linda.

linda

These are the three most important books we need. Excellent.

Quest completed

Return to Linda tomorrow.

Let’s go learn some fishing techniques from Mr Trout.

Try Fishing!

mr_trout

Look at that! Another beautiful day! I can just feel it that the fish will be biting today! If you have bought a fishing rod from Mr Loop, then we are ready to get started.

So this is how we do it. Fishing requires patience and a little luck. But first we need a good place to fish and that isn’t that easy. A good fishing place is a secret that fishermen usually don’t share with each other. You need to look everywhere, and it can be hard and  require time and patience. Maybe you have fishing friends who can share their secrets with you? Otherwise you need to look…

I’ll give you some beginner tips. Halfway up the eastern of the two south-running bridges is a pretty good spot. Go there and give it a try. When the float, some people call it a bobber, goes completely under water, click it at just the right time to catch the fish! You’ll need to wait for the right moment and time it just right to catch them.

Catch three roach fish and then come back to me.

Objectives: Use your fishing rod at the fishing spot halfway up the eastern south-running dock. Catch three roach fish for Mr K Trout. Fishing rods are sold by Mr Loop. Click on the fishing float when it goes completely under water to catch the fish!

Rewards: 25 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP, Fishing License

Reputation: 50 with Jorvik Fishing Club

There are a couple mistakes in the quest dialogue. The fishing spot is actually on the western south-running dock, and you need to catch five fish to complete the quest.

If you have not yet purchased a fishing rod, you can do so from Mr Loop’s shop. Take it to the spot marked by the orange sparkles. Dismount your horse and place your fishing rod on the spot. You will then enter the fishing minigame. When you have caught the required amount of fish, you will automatically exit the fishing minigame. Return to Mr Trout with your catch.

mr_trout

Look at that! You did great! Three fantastic roach fish! From now on you are Cape West Fishing Village’s number two big fisherman! After me, Mr K Trout, the number one fisherman in all of Jorvik of course. Welcome to the club Rita! Here is your Jorvik Fishing Club membership card! Congratulations!

Quest completed

Now let’s go see Conrad and do the next day of forging on our horseshoes.

Third Blacksmithing Day

conrad_marsdeen

Ready Rita? Now we are going to continue our work with your horseshoes. You know what to do now. We’re going to do the same thing today… But in a different order again. Follow instructions closely. There you go… You have my hammer and tongs again. Get ready to use them.

Objectives: Use the tongs and hammer to carry out the instructions Conrad gives you. Be careful!

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 5 XP

Reputation: 5 with Keepers of Aideen

Follow Conrad’s instructions as you have done before. Speak with him again when you are finished.

conrad_marsdeen

Well forged! Now the metal needs to rest until tomorrow and then we can get started again. I think we will need more Jorvik Iron and it would make sense to go and get it before we start again.

Quest completed

______________

More Jorvik Iron

conrad_marsdeen

Listen here Rita. We need more Jorvik Iron for the horseshoes. With this special iron, these shoes should last forever. Do you remember where you go it last time? Here, take my pickaxe and ride into the Demascus Mine close to here and chip out some good Jorvik Iron that we can use.

Objectives: Mine some iron from the Demascus Mine and give it to Conrad.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 5 XP

Reputation: 5 with Keepers of Aideen

Ride up into the mine behind the forge, and dismount your horse to use the pickaxe. When you have collected enough of the iron, return to Conrad.

conrad_marsdeen

Great Rita. Your horseshoes will last forever with Jorvik Iron in them.

Quest completed

Return to Conrad tomorrow.

With that done, let’s go take a pleasant ride by Nilmer’s Highland.

You Can Be a Ghost!

mr_hill

Watch where you are riding lunatic! You aren’t the only person up here, you know!

Ghost?! YOU could be a ghost! You almost run me over like a mad-woman then accuse me of being a ghost? All I’m doing here is waiting here, minding my own business, waiting for my wife to come home. Get out of here! Ghost… Hah!

“Wow… Could this be a real ghost? Am I dreaming? I need to speak with someone about this. Maybe someone at Moorland Stables has heard something about this…”

Objectives: Speak with someone at Moorland Stables about the ghost in Nilmer’s Highland.

Rewards: 5 Jorvik Shillings, 5 XP

Maybe Tan would know something about this?

tan

A ghost? Ha ha, you didn’t think I’d fall for that, did you Rita?

Quest completed

______________

Ghosts There?

tan

Whoa… You aren’t joking? Okay. I’m not entirely convinced it was a ghost you saw… Maybe you ate something funny… Or didn’t get enough sleep? Did you watch too many scary movies lately?

The only thing I know is that the farm up there has been abandoned for many years. Go and ask Loretta about it… I think she knows more about that farm.

Objectives: Speak with Loretta.

Rewards: 5 Jorvik Shillings, 5 XP

I hate it when people don’t take me seriously…

Maybe Loretta will be more helpful.

loretta

Ghost? You saw it too?

Quest completed

______________

Two That Have Seen the Ghost

loretta

I knew I wasn’t crazy, Rita! You actually spoke to it! Brrr… I’d never be able to do that. There used to be a competition track here before, a long time ago, that went up past where that farm is now. The beginning of the track hasn’t changed since then… But the race used to be longer and finish up on the other side of the river by Hill Crest. I’m sure you have seen the broken bridge by the abandoned farm up there? I think the bridge might have something to do with the ghost…

Anyways, Mrs Holdsworth is old enough that she probably remembers something from that time. She must know more than I do. Maybe you should ask her?

Objectives: Speak with Mrs Holdsworth.

Rewards: 5 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

Mrs Holdsworth knows about a lot of things.

mrs_holdsworth

Hey, my little friend! What’s on your mind? The broken bridge by Nilmer’s Highland? There was a horrible accident that happened there…

Quest competed

______________

Two Reliable Old Sources

mrs_holdsworth

Like I said, it was a tragic accident. During a competition, the old bridge collapsed! I remember it like it was yesterday. All of Jorvik was in shock when it happened. What made you ask me about it? It was a very long time ago. You want to know about the people who died? All I know is that it was a handsome man with a handsome horse. The papers wrote a lot about the accident. I’m sure there are some old copies of the Jorvik Gazette in the library archives. That’s where I would look if I were you. Good luck my friend!

Objectives: Ride to the library at the Winery and try to find more information about the accident.

Rewards: 5 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

One more trip to the library. Pick up the newspaper on top of the bookshelf, inside the library.

newspaper

“This article is about the accident in Nilmer’s Highland. Let’s see what it says…”

A competitor was killed in a tragic accident during the weekend’s competition in Moorland when the bridge over the southern part of the river collapsed. It appears that the wooden structure of the bridge had begun to rot and that lead to the collapse. The man who died has been identified as Mr Hill. Mr Hill leaves behind a wife who is grief stricken after the accident.

Quest completed

______________

Then What Happened?

newspaper

“The article continues…”

The council in Silverglade is investigating the accident, the people responsible for the competition, and will speak to the wife of the victim. A report on the incident will be delivered soon.

“Hmm… The Council Man in Silverglade might know something more about this…”

Objectives: Speak with the Council Man in Silverglade Village.

Rewards: 5 Jorvik Shillings, 5 XP

Let’s go see if the Council Man knows anything.

council_man

An accident in Nilmer’s Highland? It must have been before I started working here. But of course I’ll help you try to find out more about it.

Quest completed

Return to the Council Man tomorrow.
