I didn’t realized making barrels could be such a tough job. I never would have believed it. But here they are Rita, the best barrels Jorvik has ever seen. Bring them to Marley and use them with pride!

Build the Course

While you were gone I read the rulebook on exactly how barrel racing should be done. Behind my house I have marked off on the field exactly where the barrels should be. So, you only need to ride over and put them down in the right place. Then we just need to test it out!

Objectives: Place the barrels at the marked places.

Rewards: 10 Jorvik Shillings, 25 XP

Reputation: 15 with Silverglade Village

You have to be dismounted from your horse to place the three barrels. When they are set go back to Marley.

My Brother the Inspector

Ok… Now we need to inspect the course. Can you ride over to my brother Carney and ask him to come over and inspect the course? I know, I know… It is awful not to even try it once before it is inspected… But if it isn’t inspected I can’t open it up for anyone.

Objectives: Speak with Carney at the Winery and ask him to come to Marley’s to inspect the barrel racing course.

Carney is by the stables at the Winery.

Are the Crops Growing?

Hello again! I am a bit worried, nothing has come up from the soil. I hope I don’t have to postpone the party. We need to do something extra to get the plants started… Cow poo! Yes, you heard right! We need to spread some manure to get the plants ready in time. Maybe you and Summerblaze can use this spade to collect some manure for me? Ride to Hollow Woods and Valedale. Claire’s cow manure would be perfect for this.

Objectives: Get cow manure outside Valedale.

Rewards: 15 Jorvik Shillings, 35 XP

Reputation: 15 with Silverglade Village

Go to the cows near Valedale, and collect their poo. You have to be dismounted to use the shovel. When you have collected enough manure, return to Barney.

Awesome! It smells really bad! Lucky for us that the crops don’t have noses.

Fertilize the Field

Fertilizing the field is not glamorous work, but it has to be done, Rita. Take the bucket with manure and spread it out here and there. The soil will absorb the nutrients fast. No time to lose, take the bucket and start!

Objectives: Spread the manure on the field.

Rewards: 20 Jorvik Shillings, 20 XP

Reputation: 15 with Silverglade Village

Dismount from your horse and go out into the field again to spread the manure. Then return to Barney.
