Agreed. Anyway, now it’s time to plan and prepare while the enemy forges their dark plans.

When they strike, we need to be prepared. Strike faster, strike harder.

We want to know if Dark Core and the Dark Riders are up to something awfully suspect.

The very worst thing that could happen would be if they started the Dark Ceremony to open the cracks between Pandoria’s unreality and our reality.

That would mean that the flow between the two worlds would run completely out of control and both worlds would collapse.

Or worse…

We’ve got no idea when or where they’re going to strike. We’re not ever sure exactly how either, but Fripp and the druids are trying to work it all out.

If we get more information from the druids, we might have some new tasks to complete, but until then, we need to stay vigilant, keep watching and waiting.

Raise the alarm and take action if something unexpected occurs.

I did a little surveillance last night and found a number of suitable locations for observation.

I’ve informed the Spymaster of the newly developing situation. He and his agents, the chipmunks, and whatever else he’s got working for him are all on high alert and will let us know if they notice anything of interest.

Linda, I thought you could perhaps be our liaison and base yourself out of the library where you provide the druids with your analysis of the scriptures.

We’ll report to you Linda, and the best place for you right now is studying those texts and helping the druids to interpret them.

The observation spot is located near a bush behind the upper paddock on Paddock Island, facing towards the ocean.

I was out on a long ride with my horse around all the beautiful countryside and galloped past one of the runestones… You know, the ones that are all over the place around here.

This particular runestone just suddenly making weird noises and lighting up pink… My poor horse went crazy and just ran away! I wasn’t ready for it and ended up landing on my head.

Yup, I get you.

I reckon that’s something you should talk to Alex about. She usually tells us about how she goes out and “talks to the runestones” sometimes… Some kind of errand for the druids, apparently. Some kind of measurement she takes. She’ll probably know more about why the runestones have been behaving strangely.

I’m not sure what it could all mean. You should tell Alex all about it.

I’ve no idea where Alex is right now though. She’s not out in the field on errands. Not according to my notes, anyway.

Check the stables? Talk to a few of the people out there in the yard maybe? Perhaps someone’s seen her…

Oooh, the runestones, yeah. I usually measure their activity, but I’ve not had time recently.

I suppose it’s time I got out and took a look at them though…

I check the runestones so that I can calculate how active Pandoria is and whether there’s a strong flow between our reality and Pandoria’s unreality. This is crucial information for Fripp and the Keepers of Aideen.

Hmm… You’re pretty advanced and you’ve come a long way with the Lightning Circle. Maybe you could help me take the readings from the runestones? Talk to Elizabeth about it, just to make sure she’s okay with it. You’ll really be needing your own rune wand by now as well. Get permission from Elizabeth and fix up a rune wand and I’ll meet you tomorrow by that runestone there.

We didn’t find a new type of snake, it was a regular cliff cobra. It says here that the cliff cobra is very timid, which is probably why he was so afraid when I was trying to pet him.

Now we know where we can look for them again, near the Forgotten Fields. The snake we caught must’ve been a bit lost.

Come on Rita! Now we’ve got to hurry to the Forgotten Fields so that I can get the pictures I need for school. Since they’re so scared, it’s not a good idea to try to catch another one, so we should probably just take pictures instead.

Cliff Cobra Calling Card

Freja hasn’t been bitten by just any old cliff cobra, rather a Jorvegian cliff cobra. They’re venomous and it’s not a surprise Freja feels so sick. It’s very rare that anybody would be bitten by a snake under any circumstances, but as you said, Freja seems to have scared this little fella enough to bite when she tried to pet him. We can get this sorted though! Together we’ll Freja feeling better in no time at all.

While I was a Jorvik University, I learned how to produce anti-venom in case someone had been bitten by a venomous animal. I’ve got everything we need at home apart from the actual venom. The most effective way to make anti-venom is by using the venom itself, which might sound weird but that’s just the way it is.

Usually, we could just take venom from any old snake, but not in this case. The Jorvegian species of cliff cobra is unique is that each snake has a special ‘signature’ in its venom. This means we need to find the actual snake that bit Freja. Quite aside from that, it won’t do to have a venomous snake on the loose at the Sunfield Family farm!

My suggestion is that you capture the snake and bring it back to me. 

Before you do that though, explain the situation to Martina. She’ll be worried sick, no doubt.

This quest can be done on horseback but is most certainly easier to do on foot. This quest is challenging, do not get discouraged! (Took me three tries to get it.)

Click each area to search for the snake. While the bar fills for you to search, grab the net at the ready because as soon as you do find the snake, it will dart out from the hiding place. Chase after it, and use the net to catch it (hence having the net ready early, so you don’t have to fumble with grabbing it while also chasing the snake). Don’t let the snake get away or you will have to restart the quest.

When you have caught the snake, return to Martina.

Hi, Rita! Do you want some eggs? We have plenty! Can you collect some eggs to take some over to Grandma? You just have to put your hands inside the chicken wire, the eggs are in the hay. One dozen should be enough. Can you ride with a basket of eggs to Firgrove Village? I promise my grandma will be overjoyed! Good luck and be sure to ride carefully! The eggs will break if you aren’t careful riding!

Ride to the chicken coop, and click on it to pick up the eggs. The eggs will then be in a basket behind your saddle. If you ride at any speed above a walk, the ‘Danger!’ meter will fill up. Once it fills up completely, the eggs will break. You can prevent this by slowing to a walk or stopping completely to let the meter drain when it gets too high, before riding more.

Take the eggs to Mrs Packard’s house in Firgrove.

The clue ‘opposite the Thornrocks’ means ‘across the river from the Thornrocks.’

Applegrove is along the Fire Trail. Once you cross the bride, as if you were going to Firgrove, instead of going up the hill, take the first trail off to the right. It is a road, but it is not marked on the map. Follow the road for a little bit, and off to the right-hand side you will see trees with apples on them. To get the golden apple, you will have to leave the road a bit and go down into the trees.

Yes, I remembered that I was at the lighthouse! You know, the large green and white lighthouse east of Moorland Stable, south of Jasper’s barn. I was there and looked at the view. The money has to be there! Could you be the nicest person ever and ride there and look? I think you’ll have to search all around the lighthouse.

Objectives: Ride to the green and white lighthouse south of Jasper’s place and look for Tan’s money. Search all around the lighthouse. When you are done, return to Tan.

To get to the lighthouse, ride towards Jasper’s old house. Before you go though the stone gate, turn right off the road. The lighthouse is at the top of the hill. There are three places near the lighthouse for you to search. Go back to Tan when you have searched all of the locations.

Ducks on the Run, Has Will Seen Anything?

Every spring around this time, the fountain ducks come to stay all summer and swim in the cool fountain. They haven’t returned from their winter migration so I have a feeling that something has happened to them.

Will up at the mill on the hill outside the village is an avid bird watcher. He may have seen something. Can your ride up and ask him?

Examine the Stopover

I haven’t seen the ducks yet this year, but what I’ve seen in previous years is that they land one last time on Everwind Fields and rest before they head into the village and receive the people’s cheers.

Maybe you can scout the field and see if you find any clue of their whereabouts? Return to me later.

Objectives: Look for duck clues on the Everwind Fields north of Marley’s jumping paddock, west of Will’s mill. Ride to Will when you have found something.

A Finished Gondola Lift

Aha! The gondola lift is done! Completely amazing right Rita? It all went super smoothly. Thank you Rita, we couldn’t have done it without you.

Enter the gondola lift station and take a ride up to the observatory, Mario called and told me he wanted to thank you himself.

What I need is a special tint of purple and I’ve heard that the Baroness herself has started using purple grapes to dye the fabric of her beautiful dresses. It’s only a rumor but I think you should ride to the vineyard and ask her! I can mix red and blue but I think your vest deserves the perfect purple tint.
